I remember Norwood saying at one his talks to donors that even if schools like Iowa & Wisconsin had the same capacity as The Bank, the U would still be $3-4 million less in revenue to the athletic department than those two schools.
I went to google earth and measured Williams, Hinkle, & Welsh-Ryan for width. Williams is the widest at 244 feet. I’m no architect but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last week, so in my expert opinion, it’s doable and would make site lines better and more space available under the stands...
As ive stated in previous posts about the barn, the court needs to be turned 90 degrees, similar to Hinkle and Welsh-Ryan at Northwestern. It would create so much more room under the grandstands and put more seats between the baselines. The suites could go between lower & upper deck instead of...
Also see Welsh-Ryan at Northwestern. Court should be turned 90 degrees, less seats but more room for concourses and concessions plus more seats between the baselines. Make capacity 10-11k you can have nice suites on both sides of the floor mid level(not the lofts).
I’m pretty sure that NIL money is not tax deductible and I’m wondering if that scares people from giving to NIL’s. If we don’t get that deep picketed donor that just wants to win, could be very hard. Need a T Boone Pickens like person here badly!!
