SEC Bias: This is a reminder that LSU these last 5 years is the same as Minnesota, just with a lot more AP votes and more FCS wins.

This is correct. Neither LsU nor Mn has deserved to be ranked much the last few years. But LSU is a lot Why? Because while both teams are probably between 30-50 most of those 5 years. MN has to earn their way up to be 35 by going 8-5 Whereas LSU doesn’t fall out of the top 25 until they drop to 6-5

Gophers are expected to hire Stanford defensive coordinator Bobby April as its new rush ends coach.

He did not confirm or deny it’s him. Between saying it’s ridiculous to have a DE coach and him saying the reason people watch college football is primarily because people are seeking degrees it is two very MpLS vibes posts in 24 hours

    How To Fix College Football

You’re right man. People watch college sports because it is 18-22 year olds getting bachelors degrees This is why bethel gets the same crowds as LSU. Because they share the most important variable. Lol

You’re right. I chose to call out a stupid comment. No one forced me to

Oh so you’re talking about absolutely nothing, got it. And when confronted with evidence that proves you’re wrong…that evidence doesn’t count Mpls gopher is that you?

The Vikings literally have two DL coaches… You really think they both coach all 4 positions? Or do you think they have an area of focus? You’re really doubling down on your take?

What, in your opinion, is the best seed st Thomas could get if they were to go 14-2 in conference and then win the summit tourney

I don’t disagree and I don’t think the big ten should sign up for an extension of the playoffs unless it goes out to open bid

No they are not At least in the college football media the perception is that it’s: 1) SEC Distant 2) big ten Distant 3) anyone else

All Things 2025 Playoffs and Bowl Thread

Well I don’t really see the post season bowls as a good barometer Too many variables. You can take something from it, but I’m not quite sure what. I see similarities in the leagues in that they both have good teams. Medium teams and below average teams. And the team conference doesn’t really...

? They are similar in record. You know a lot more than 11 games have been played this year right?

All Things 2025 Playoffs and Bowl Thread

The record is not similar The conferences are pretty similar, to me. Mn beating New Mexico and Houston beating LSU without a coach does not mean Vanderbilt loses to Iowa. They may lose to Iowa…but it has more to do with Vanderbilt and Iowa than it does with conference affiliation

I’m not even sure I need to argue the big ten is better: they’re pretty similar to me I would just like it to be accepted fact that even though Miami is ACC and A&M is SEC…we should still play the game. And maybe BYU should not have to go 12-1 to be above 10-3 bama….stuff like that.

SEC Bias: This is a reminder that LSU these last 5 years is the same as Minnesota, just with a lot more AP votes and more FCS wins.

And those 7-6 seasons include a loss to Liberty in 2022 and a loss to 3-9 Ok state in 2024 correct And to be fair… If it was 2013 and you were playing LSU-Bama-Auburn But it hasn’t been 2013 since 2013.

SEC Bias: This is a reminder that LSU these last 5 years is the same as Minnesota, just with a lot more AP votes and more FCS wins.

Yeah people do think of SEC west as running the Auburn-bama-LSU gauntlet But LSU doesn’t play LsU And LsU locks in Florida, MS State, Arkansas, and Auburn And that’s half their conference schedule! Auburn hasn’t won 7 games in a year since 2019 And all those teams with 7-6 records had 4 non...

SEC Bias: This is a reminder that LSU these last 5 years is the same as Minnesota, just with a lot more AP votes and more FCS wins.

No. Interesting the implication was Minnesota had more wins because they kept beating up on the same teams over and over again but both teams have beaten 16 power 5 programs the last 5 seasons. Most common team They beat LSU got 11/28 wins vs Arkansas/MS State/florida Minnesota got 11/29 wins...
