Thanksgiving Day College Hoops Summit: Eat, Loosen the Pants & Watch Buckets as Tryptophan Does Its Thing

Happy Thanksgiving to all! No better day to gorge yourself, and for you men out there (you know what I'm talking about), get to that favorite spot on your couch, loosen up those pants to let your belly breathe, and then feast on college hoops (or that other sport) as the tryptophan kicks in...

    Lines for Acrisure games

Stanford now favored by 2.5. Saint Louis favored over Santa Clara by 1.5. Kinda’ sounds like it’s anyone’s tournament. Let’s go win a championship, earn a trophy. That would be a step forward for the program, albeit a small one.

Agree. Right now Michigan, Michigan State, and Purdue all look capable of ending the drought, and Illinois, UCLA and perhaps Indiana could join that group. Michigan’s talent is off the charts, Sparty has a great mix of experience, youth & toughness, and Purdue is simply Purdue with Smith, Loyer...

Mountain West appears down, as well. Anything more than 2 would surprise me, and I’m not sold on San Diego State.

Nov. 23 College Hoops Summit: CS Fullerton surprises UST, but Toms still can win Portland Invitational

Still waiting for Carter to break out a bit. It’ll happen, hopefully soon. Dobbs leadership and point of attack offense/defense & Barnstable’s scorers mentality also feel like things they’re really missing. But that was last season (have to remind myself). Tommies still have plenty of nice...

WHAT A WIN!!! UST over Northern Colorado!!!

Mine, too! Sign of a good team, when you don't play well, but you stay in the fight, hang around, and still able to finish at the end. Now build on that, and hopefully Bjerke gets it going from 3 soon. It's so strange to see him struggling to make 3s.

WHAT A WIN!!! UST over Northern Colorado!!!

Ball don’t lie. Justice was served. Horrible foul call that preceded Minessale’s heroics that allowed UNC to make 2 FTs for the lead. Shooter kicked his leg out sideways to make contact with Herro and the ref fell for it. Would’ve been a tough way to lose.

Do not expand the NCAA Tournament. ... but if you insist, an open mind came up with this

That was the other scenario I considered for rewarding the double winners, automatically among the top 32. I would actually prefer that, but just figured there’s zero chance the major schools would allow any mid- or low-majors to receive that perk.

Do not expand the NCAA Tournament. ... but if you insist, an open mind came up with this

Thanks, appreciate your thoughts. I would argue they already added playing more interesting exhibition games, so that ship has sailed as far as starting earlier. Skip exhibition/preseason games (like college football does) & just make those 2 games real ones.
