Gophers snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Disappointing. They will eventually self-destruct. Coach should have used her timeout earlier to advance the ball and hopefully go to the free throw line instead of giving up an easy steal and layup.

I hope the Gophers can host the first two rounds, too. But, I am pessimistic. I think they are on the borderline for hosting. The NCAA knows that they will get a bigger crowd and more money at the PAV. However, I think there also is pressure to pass the opportunity to host around.

Holy Moly Batman, Minnesota State swept the Gopher Women's hockey team. Saturday was a bad day for Gopher fans: Women's and Men's hockey, Men's basketball, and football teams lose. Sometimes, I think that they should not let the women athletes drink the same water, or whatever, as the men.

I agree about Gilk. I couldn't tell whether USC defensed Gilk better in the second half of the match or whether the Gophers inadvertently quit going to her as much. I think the Gophers got too predictable in going so much to Hanson. Also, they seemed to go less to the Middles.
