    COYLE FIRES BEN JOHNSON!!!!!!

Why is he doing this at 1 in the morning? In the attention economy your goal is to get maximum press, this should have dropped around tip-off of the BTT today. Everyone is going to wake up, see the news on their own schedule, then go on with their day. Consistently feels like Coyle has zero...

What was your favorite Patrick Reusse moment?

The only reason anyone is still on Twitter is because they have a following and it makes them feel important. The civilized world is beginning to leave social media, it is absolute cancer for the soul. (and yes I realize a message board is social media adjacent)

What was your favorite Patrick Reusse moment?

2025 Twitter is just journalists, bots and porn. He probably thought nobody would see it.

When it comes to college women's basketball, there are a lot of great basketball players, there are not a lot of great athletes. It's the opposite of men's basketball, where there are a lot of great athletes but not a lot of great basketball players. That's why having a really good system...

John Cook has retired at Nebraska

I'm not sure it's tougher, just different. If you've got a big budget you can do some online shopping in the portal every offseason (see: Sheffield, Kelly) and don't even have to worry about development or high school recruiting. I think older coaches built their whole identity around building...

Seth Davis: Ben Johnson has done an incredible job with this team. One of the elite coaches in one of the toughest jobs in America.

Yeah that’s mostly what I mean. Football and hockey for men. Volleyball and sorta basketball for women. Success in anything else is a bonus.

I’m just not sure the U wants to be good at basketball. I see the investments in other sports.

John Cook has retired at Nebraska

He's 68 years old. 4 National Titles, 12 Final Fours. He had a great chance to win another title if he stuck around another 2-3 years, but what does it add to his legacy or career? We need to normalize people retiring younger, give the next generation their chance to shine.

Former Gopher Jonathan Celestin new UAB linebackers coach

Dallas Clark retired from the NFL before Celestin was even a freshman for the Gophers. Do you mean another Iowa TE?

Fresno State Men's Basketball players allegedly placed bets on games they played in, sources say

And the 1997 Final Four banner should be hanging in Williams Arena.

Dan Hurley - love him or hate him?

Interesting actions from somebody who claims to be a devout Catholic. I thought Pride was one of the seven deadly sins? But what do I know, I'm a lapsed Jew.

Ranking the Head Coaches in the Big Ten (9. PJ Fleck, Minnesota)

You guys really worried about how this guy ranked Big Ten coaches?

Reusse: Unlike the Gophers’ coaching situation, the solution for Williams Arena is simple: Blow up The Barn

Reusse needed to retire 15 years ago. He's stealing space that could be taken up by a younger person with a fresher take on sports and the world. He should, in his line of work, be aware that building new facilities for college sports was the trick 20 years ago. You couldn't pay the players...

Five Guys On A Shortlist: If the U Decides Change Is Needed, Aim High & Don't Be Cheap With That Big Ten Cash

Schools that are continuously replacing coaches need to come to terms with the fact that the coach isn’t the issue.

That was a fun weekend in the barn. It doesn't look so grainy in my memory.

They’ll charge you a $19.99 per month subscription to use the bathroom at the stadium. You can only cancel it by phone and it runs through the offseason.
