If you’re referring to my comment that the NIL money doesn’t matter, at this point, for the 2025 season. It doesn’t.
The last three years of recruiting for the U of M and Indiana, according to the recruiting rankings, have the overall recruiting between the two basically the same.
So with the...
I do not think Coach Fleck should be let go, but he isn’t the second coming of …say Bud Grant. I think he should feel just a little heat, as far as the records against Wi and NE, Ithink at this point, it’s more due to their downswings than the Gophers upswing.
I am just going to post again, our...
Maybe, but if the second string guy didn’t look competent, I think UN would squelch them. I wouldn’t be surprised if they threw it out there.
As they say on Gopher Hole “they cooled on him”.
Should have had a better season last year. The record this year is better than the quality of play has been, that’s the rub. It’s one thing to lose and play well, it’s another to lose like the losses have been this year. Sieve like pass defense and short yardage disaster time and time again on...
I especially agree with your 1st comment, tried to point that out a few times, nobody bites.
A lot of people, me included, tried to convince ourselves that Nebraska was the standard, but it was the anomaly. Gave lots of hope after questionable start. I’m kind of ready for next year.
Right now, the logical conclusion would be yes, how else would you square it. I thought Indy hit the jackpot with the transfer portal, not really a lot different than Minn., I was surprised actually.
Indiana and Minnesota have very similar recruiting ratings in transfers and high schoolers. NIL difference between the 2 programs not really a factor in this years results.
It’s kind of natural to want a guy you’re familiar with, who has shown pretty well, to play when the offense is operating at about 50%. 148 yards, someone should be benched.
Really, Cal fired their guy, but they beat the Gophers…….oh wait….seriously, he seemed to coach a good game against us. I don’t know why Michigan State wouldn’t give Smith some more time, 2 years is quick.
I wonder if coach doesn’t have a directive to keep MaCarthy in the game, Chicagos guy was bad last year, Carolinas guy 2 years bad but getting better.
Max throws on time better than Mac, it seems, would be fun to see him get a better shot.
Lots to consider, Minnesota loses final 2 games, season is very similar to Masons last. The start over guys have that, the U hired “Brew”, the stay the course guys can point to that.
Minnesota transfer portal and recruiting, the last 3 years, according to the recruiting services are nearly...
