I don't know if more money would bring better coaches. I'm not convinced our coaches are as inept as many here insist. Nevertheless, you suggest we should hire top notch coaches and I think they would be as hard to attract to Minneapolis as are high star recruits. We haven't been able to recruit...

Why do you think "top notch" coaches would be more likely to want to come to Minnesota than the "better" players?

Seems like a reasonable concern. I don't know about the jab at coaching, that seems to be in vogue these days here on GH, but I think it's reasonable to assume that there are other programs more likely to win championships given the UM record the last 60 or so seasons.

They have a nice campus in a college town. They typically recruit well. They have a recent history in both bb and fb of pretty good success. I respect the badgers but would really like to beat them.

I hope he chooses to stay at UM.

There are many spectator sports in the TCs to spend money on. In Iowa City there's one. Madison, one.
