The deal is near finalized for #UCLA football to play its home games in SoFi Stadium.

SoFi is 13 road miles away from UCLA, while the Rose Bowl is 26 miles away. According to Google maps. This could be blasphemy, but wonder if the eventual goal is to move the Rose Bowl Game itself to SoFi?

The deal is near finalized for #UCLA football to play its home games in SoFi Stadium.

Obviously I'm a lay person, but it would seem like the law can force a team to play at a stadium if they don't want to. All it can do is force UCLA to pay dearly to the city.

    Juco players recuiting.

Maybe JUCO will open up as an even better opportunity than in the past? Reasoning: the major programs and blue bloods that normally might be able to get top JUCO players over the Gophers, are now focused on signing top transfer portal players intead.

Bold: I am not sure. That's how much I care about MLS.

I believe our MLS team just dodged their own collapse in the first round of the playoffs, winning in game 5 by needing PK's at home? Something like that ... I don't really pay attention to it, to be honest. 🥴

Whenever McCarthy doesn't do well, it's KOC's fault. Whenever McCarthy does well, it's because he's amazing.

Well, damn. You were right. Was not able to watch the game, but checking now looks like we were not competitive in this one. McCarthy throwing 2 picks probably didn't help. No idea how defense did or how they were expected to do against an MVP like Jackson. We were never going undefeated...

Wisconsin coach Luke Fickell will return to coach the Badgers in 2026

Agreed. My understanding is this is all out in the open, now. They call it NIL Go or some thing like that. But you're right, we'l still have to see

Wisconsin coach Luke Fickell will return to coach the Badgers in 2026

A rich guy can't just go out and "legally" buy a roster, anymore. All the NIL deals are being screened by a clearinghouse, to make sure they're actual, real deals, where the athletes have to actually do stuff and can only get paid a market rate for their time.

You were talking about Mullens being a backup for the Vikings. That was his 6th-8th year in the league. Yes, Max is older because he had a covid year at New Hampshire. If JJM goes out for the season vs Balt, yes Max finishes the game. But then you seriously consider Wolford and you also look...

If we're being true to ourselves, and talking about our mindset before last weekend: which of these games would you have said was more difficult than @ Detroit? None of them. We just won, the hardest game. Now obviously, we aren't going to now go undefeated through all these. Of course...

Heard on KFAN, think this morning, that any Ravens game the past almost 30 years is an incredible predictor: win it, and you go to the NFC championship lose it, and your coach gets fired that year (or that offseason)

He wasn't a rookie those years? I'm talking about 2025. This season ... where we just proved that this team can still do something major.

Northwestern’s motion to dismiss the wrongful termination lawsuit brought by former coach Pat Fitzgerald was denied today, Fitz seeking $130MM.

Changing your mind about everyone fires any coach that has hazing, isn't important. What matters is if you think Fitz should have been fired simply because hazing occurred. And then the legal point is if such a thing rises up to a "for cause", if it was provable that he didn't know about it...

I love the Jackson pick. Think he will be great for us for years. That said ... feels like a third of the plays in this highlight video are nothing more than him getting out of his stance ... and no one rushing him. Such a weird thing to include in a highlight tape.

Northwestern’s motion to dismiss the wrongful termination lawsuit brought by former coach Pat Fitzgerald was denied today, Fitz seeking $130MM.

I will claim that many exist, but none of those had stories published about them. I'm fine leaving it at that. Would I change your mind, any way, even if I disproved the "Every single AD.." claim? I don't think that would change your mind that NW was in the right and that they correctly fired...

Northwestern’s motion to dismiss the wrongful termination lawsuit brought by former coach Pat Fitzgerald was denied today, Fitz seeking $130MM.

How would I be able to do a Google search for all of the cases where the coach and the AD discussed the circumstances, allegations, and evidence that existed, and simply decided to not do anything? Such cases would not have anything published about them to find. Usually the ones that get...

This is a wild take. I get that you're being a Gopher homer on a Gopher site, which is not only allowed but encouraged. But it's not going to be something taken as real, anywhere else in the country. He's an undrafted rookie.

Bold seems like a wild claim. Do you have anything to back up? Or are you saying it as a thing of what you hope would happen. But does it actually?
