Need to make this a little more clear. Strong high school hockey is NOT a reason for Gopher football mediocrity. It IS a reason why high school football isn't as strong in this state as it is in some other states.

The Summit rejected them back in 2020. I haven't heard anything that they've tried to get in since. Mankato obviously makes the most sense, but as a state school, I don't see the funding there now, if ever.
