That might mean something when competing for top MAC recruits. We're doing pretty well with DBs going into the NFL yet I don't see 4* and 5* recruits beating a path to our door, outside of a local kid. Most P4 programs are going to be able to coach you well enough to get a shot at the next...

Feel free to start the list! Ko is on it, maybe Cashman. There might be a few from the Kill/Claeys era, but when there are no 4* or 5* players around you on the team, even average people can shine.

But why even take guys like this???? Get some transfers that are a few years older. Taking guys like this and hoping you can coach them into something is so pre-portal, pre-NIL. Get with the times, PJ.

What do the offer lists of the first two have to do with this recruit? Seriously. Did they threaten to decommit or something if we brought in another LB with good offers????

I remember a time when people were glad we weren't recruiting against the "directional" Michigans anymore and were going after players with other P4/5 offers. Now were back full-circle to making a thread about this kind of recruit.

In years past I think it was better to take projects because if they went elsewhere and had success, they probably weren't coming back here for their senior year. If the guy wants to walk on, fine. I think in the 2024 NFL draft an offensive lineman from UND was taken. THAT is the UND athlete...
