Those aren’t all inexplicable. How TF can people not explain losing to Cal when we barely beat Purdue and Mich St? The talent level difference is not what you think it is. Not every loss where we are a slight favorite or even a slight dog is inexplicable.

The inexplicable bad loss thing is so overblown. Give Cig 9 years and I’m sure he’ll lose to some P4 teams that he’s “supposed” to beat too. Other than the Bowling Green game I’m not seeing those so called inexplicable bad losses every year.

Does it matter where they came from? Like 3-4 of them are/were All American type players. Plus the two QB transfers were fantastic as well.

What’s the serious recruiting challenge at Purdue? I assume it’s academics at NW.
