The Minnesota Vikings have signed #Gophers Max Brosmer!

Good situation for Brosmer. Game will get a little faster, but the game got faster for him last season after he stepped up from a lower level and he did quite well. Smart guy who obviously loves the game and those guys can often hang around if the physical end of the equation is there.

    Walley picked on 3rd Round

I pretty much saw the same player as Ballard. We'll find out whether we are both crazy or not.

    Joyner to Las Vegas Raiders

I think the tools are there and he seemed to play hard every play, but maybe there are some technique issues that kept him from being more effective and putting a crimp in his production numbers. Pros are obviously a different level and everyone there has top-drawer tools. I think he was...

    Drafted & UDFA Signings

Thanks for putting this list together. Like 60's Guy, I was a bit surprised that Joyner wasn't drafted. Other than that, it fell about like what I expected. Good luck to all of these guys.

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

He'll make up the $44 million by doing an endorsement for Chutes and Ladders.

    Early Mock Draft - Gophers

It shows how all the pre-draft press is a bit all over the place. Walley went a little higher than I thought. I thought Joyner would get drafted and I didn't think Lindenberg would get drafted. I don't know if there's a correlation, but I wonder if Sanders' fall took up the draft space that...

    Early Mock Draft - Gophers

Agree. But I caught a few of his games when he played for Florida and he was in an offense that matched his skill set to a tee. I don't know if he can elevate those skills to an NFL level, but he put up pretty good numbers for the Gators. I'm really surprised about Ewers.

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

Rodgers wasn't a distraction early in his career. In fact, he took over for a distraction. The Sanders family is a walking distraction and would be from the minute he stepped on the pratice field.

    Early Mock Draft - Gophers

Graham Mertz gets the last laugh on the Badgers. I guess his logo got him somewhere.

    Early Mock Draft - Gophers

A little surprised on Joyner not being taken as we're halfway through Round 6. Been a late run on QBs so maybe Brosmer goes in the 7th. Hard to tell what pre-draft rankings mean, but he's in a group with Rourke and Miller (NDSU) behind Ewers as it currently stands.

    Walley picked on 3rd Round

The way it's going, Brosmer might get drafted before Shadeur.

    Early Mock Draft - Gophers

Started a thread above that can probably be deleted. I thought Walley was a Day 3 guy, but not all that surprised.

    Walley Drafted in Third Round

Pick 16 in 3rd Round to Indianapolis. #80 overall.

    Ersery just drafted

I figured he would go before the 3rd round. As I wrote in another thread, there was a wide range of opinions about him and I think if you found the mean between those opinons, this is about where he would end up. Good luck to him. Really became a great OL for us.

Emmett Morehead (ODU QB) Transfers to the Gophers

He was beaten out by Thomas Castellanos, who was a pretty good dual-threat QB. Moorhead looks to be more of a classic dropback guy.

    Early Mock Draft - Gophers

I always get a chuckle out of the draft "experts." Ersery gets high marks from some, but Daniel Jeremiah and Lance Zierlein over at nfl.com don't think that much of him. Who knows what scouts and GMs actually think? Like you, I'm hoping he gets snapped up in the second round. He needs to...

    Early Mock Draft - Gophers

Nice write-up and thanks for posting. Good to see Walley's instincts mentioned. I'm no scout, but he seems (note "seems") to read what's in front of him very well and has enough athleticism to make adjustments. He's not big, but like Prisco says, he isn't afraid to throw his body around.

Why are so many former top-100 recruits hitting the transfer portal so quickly?

I think we are going to see more of what you suggest. More highly-recruited (though not necessarily top 100 high school players) head to the MAC or similar conferences to rack up performance points.

Why are so many former top-100 recruits hitting the transfer portal so quickly?

I think the money part plays into it in a big way. If a player is a former top 100 kid that hasn't done much in his first two years, he's probably going to move while he's still marketable (as in "I was a top 100 kid"). If they are still buried by the time they are three years into a program...

    Early Mock Draft - Gophers

I always love the discrepencies between the draft mavens. PFF has Cooper at 185 and Walley nowhere to be seen. That's the first time I've seen that in the pre-draft analyses.
