Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

I know you were being sarcastic, but you're exactly right. It is very, very wrong to imply people might be prejudiced. You have to meet them, otherwise you're the one being prejudiced.

    Nebraska

Yeah, we pummeled them something like 51-14 or whatever, I think it was 2013 or 2014. I thought that might be the turning point, but then we started losing to them again.

    Nebraska

Their schedule doesn't have a gauntlet of top teams, but assuming the 2 predicted losses are Michigan and @Penn State, this implies they win every other game, including beating us, which they haven't done recently. 4-0 against us, the two LA schools, and Iowa doesn't seem likely to me.

WSJ: Arch Manning Is the Biggest College Quarterback Prospect Ever. Finally, He’s Getting the Keys.

Yeah, after beating Saban's defense as a true freshman, I figured he'd go #1 when eligible. I didn't think he'd struggle this much though. Maybe he didn't learn enough just sitting there in the shot gun all the time?

WSJ: Arch Manning Is the Biggest College Quarterback Prospect Ever. Finally, He’s Getting the Keys.

Just thought of Mitch Mustain from Arkansas. Wasn't he also top-notch? Then 4 years later he was sitting in jail on national signing day, if I remember correctly.

WSJ: Arch Manning Is the Biggest College Quarterback Prospect Ever. Finally, He’s Getting the Keys.

Wasn't Vince Young a perfect 1.00 prospect (as opposed to the rare .99, .98's that you sometimes see). Good list though. Forgot about Clausen.

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

Like drafting two QBs the year before you're almost a lock to get the #1 overall pick and Arch Manning. Two mid round offensive lineman would have been better. But hey, they're only starting a 40 something year old who was in his prime and won a super bowl 13 years ago or whatever. No biggie.

I actually had to look that up to see if you were joking. Yeeesh! Ridiculous.

Well it looks like he's making the team since they traded Pickett.

$200: the final straw for this Gopher alum & lifelong fan

Thanks, that makes sense. And yeah, I'll avoid the rant too, but as others have said, we miss the three sport athlete days.

$200: the final straw for this Gopher alum & lifelong fan

Having never played, and barely able to even skate, can you mention why this is? Is it just too hard to get used to skating if you don't do it early? Or is it handling the puck that you can't get down later in life? Or....

Greg Eslinger enters the College Football HOF.

Yeah, maybe I didn't give him enough credit. Good points by some on here to get me to change my opinion. This and one or two others are better and more constructive than childish insults. Anyways, I think I was wrong.

Greg Eslinger enters the College Football HOF.

I disagree. HOF should be for names people can easily recognize. Who outside of MN even knows who he is? Great player for the system he was in though.

    ESPN "sleepers" - Kerry Brown

This is what I love - confuse a QB and watch the offense make mistakes. I love defensive football. I really hope we keep the chaos this year. With 2 young, star safeties, who now have experience, we should be able to get creative.

B1G Commissioner Floats Expanded Playoff Idea to 28 Teams!

Ah, I should have added some more. What I didn't say, but should have, would be if we eliminated the non-conf like I suggested, then each conference would autonomously decide their playoff participants, with their own rules for tie-breakers and such. Without that, then I agree with the above...

B1G Commissioner Floats Expanded Playoff Idea to 28 Teams!

I was just reading that. I like the idea of a greater penalty for losing to a G5 or lower opponent, but I'm against less of a penalty for losing to a good one. If teams are afraid to lose then just don't play. Have a 12 game conference schedule and then let's see if people will get excited to...

This is the first my eyes have seen of it.

B1G Commissioner Floats Expanded Playoff Idea to 28 Teams!

This. Sounds like you and I are on the same page. On of my early complaints about playoffs was that we departed from a system where half of the "post season" teams ended with a win. And this is a great example. One of the best games I've ever watched, and it wouldn't even be cared about if...

B1G Commissioner Floats Expanded Playoff Idea to 28 Teams!

Yep. Late December, time off from work during the week, and nothing else on but I Love Lucy reruns is different from a nice Saturday afternoon where lots of people are trying to get stuff done and if they have to choose for the wife, they'll pick Sunday to watch sports. Yeah, we had issues...
