    We are not good

The 2025 Minnesota Gopher Football team is lucky to have 5 wins, almost gagged away Rutgers and Purdue. Poor Blocking, poor passing, defense is suspect or worse, kicking game is below average. Not much to be optimistic about, and it is all on coaching. Players not good enough, that’s on the coach.

If a guy can help the team win now, I think he should play now, next year is not a guarantee.

Matt Rhule's new buyout is $71MM! Dude is 0-18 vs ranked opponents at Baylor and Nebraska

I agree with the free market, but this coaching value is insane, I don’t know at what point it all goes to sh@t, but it has to, doesn’t it. Paying these coaches insane salaries, paying players, allowing transfers, year after year. The product on the field hasn’t suffered, to me anyway, but I...

2025-26 College Football Coach Fired/Hired Thread

More on LSU From CBS Sports Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry says LSU AD won't hire next football coach: 'We are not going down a failed path' Landry took an apparent shot at LSU AD Scott Woodward's hiring history during a meeting with the press on Wednesday By Cameron Salerno LSU will...

    Scoggins/Kill Article

The thing I liked most about JK is he changed the culture regarding football. Minnesota had been soft for a long time, and he improved the blocking, tackling, and physicality of the gophers, that has been for the most part true with P.J.s regime as well. I was biased against Fleck when he was...

The difference in the last two weeks.

I don’t doubt that they are fully prepared for what they expect. I don’t think the same team, with the same coaches come out unprepared one week and prepared the next. However if you get something different than what you prepared for and don’t adjust, it will appear that everyone missed...

I wonder if Coach Rossi got incompetent all of a sudden, or if he just doesn’t have the horses?

Athletic: There are far more college football jobs on the market than quality coaches

There are a plethora of good coaches out there, the trick is to correctly identify them.

    Lemeke Brockington is our guy

Watched a few other “lesser” big ten teams this weekend, seems like most have a stud, go to, type receiver, I don’t think I’ve seen that guy in maroon and gold this year.

AT WHAT POINT DO YOU SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

I think there is something to the old Sid theory that higher ups at the U want academics to be considered superior to athletics, as in not be overshadowed by the major sports. Even though most people, in my opinion, identify or think of colleges based on athletics. The average guy, me, didn’t go...

AT WHAT POINT DO YOU SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

The athletic department at the U in men’s athletics is in bad shape, right? I don’t follow as close as in my younger days, of which there have been many, but baseball has fallen, basketball has been poor, hockey seems a little down, this year anyway. Football just muddles along has had some...

Fleck: “I’m proud of our players fight. We didn’t turn the ball over which is really positive for us…We have a really good football team though.”

The fact that a good number of folks here(probably) thought it was from the latest effort means something, maybe…..?
