No way. The ink's still drying on their move to the Big 12, and they're coming off of bad to mediocre football and men's basketball seasons. Making yet another conference jump in such a short time would be disastrous for the long-term future of their program.
I'd like to think that he's improved his judgement as a result of what happened with Kaliakmanis... I guess the silver lining is that all of his "most/best _____ out of anyone I've ever coached" comments now include him.
Would have thought that we’d end up with Michigan State, Nebraska or Sconnie as theme games but I guess I stand corrected. Rutgers and Purdue seem like they might be our two easiest B1G home games of the season.
I’d like it if we were at least a middle-of-the-pack B1G team that is consistently on the bubble each year. Making the tournament at least once or twice in 4 years would be excellent. I also agree with setting a good foundation by increasing interest in Gopher basketball and bring more fans into...
I agree with this approach, let CCGs be their own thing at least to a degree. Only issues would be players sitting out (I feel like conference championships still matter a ton even to teams like Ohio State who play for one a lot so I have a hard time seeing it happen) and some scenario where no...
16 is too much, I feel like. I think every team that’s let in should at least have some chance to win the national title, and the #16 team in the country stringing together 4 straight upset wins against the most elite teams in the country isn’t happening in a million years. I feel like 8 teams...
I have family in Pasadena and have been down for games on a good number of occasions, so I admit I'm a bit biased haha. Tons of amazing memories, with Gopher fans packing the place up this last season for the UCLA game being a recent addition.
Rose Bowl by a mile for me, and I don’t see that changing. A packed Bank as the sun sets over the downtown skyline is a great second, though!
Montana also has an awesome FCS stadium, that’s a bucket list item for me
A little late to the party but I'd personally put Fleck at sixth overall. Cig did an amazing job in year 1, but it's to be seen if that's the consistent level of performance the team will have under him. Moore, Riley, Rhule all still have much to prove. Fleck is an established winner in the B1G...
Off the top of my head Ersery is a round-one prospect and Lindenberg, Joyner, Brosmer, Jackson, Striggow, and Walley all have shots at maybe rounds 5-7. Doubtful they all get drafted, if half do I’d call that a win.
Glad the QB competition is tight. Should encourage both players to improve together regardless of who comes out on top in the end, so the closer the better in my opinion
