All about Max Brosmer Making the Cut

It's not out of the realm of possibility that Wentz hits the practice squad.

Northwestern’s motion to dismiss the wrongful termination lawsuit brought by former coach Pat Fitzgerald was denied today, Fitz seeking $130MM.

In April - a routine litigation procedure that except in the most frivilous cases, is routinely denied. It didn't resolve the case.

Northwestern’s motion to dismiss the wrongful termination lawsuit brought by former coach Pat Fitzgerald was denied today, Fitz seeking $130MM.

Right. The statement that Fitz released was no doubt agreed to in negotiation. Fitz wanted to say loud and clear and unchallenged that he had no part or knowledge of the hazing. NW wanted an acknowledgment that hazing did in fact occur, even if Fitz is allowed to say it didn't occur, while not...

    QB Transfers

I think when it comes to college QBs, that really is how it works. Chances are very good that no matter the outcome at UTEP in 2025, he'll be on the move again.

Gophers offer 5 from Fargo-Moorhead area for 2027

The city itself isn't very large, but the district is fairly expansive and buts up to and includes parts of very rapidly growing West Fargo and Horace, and outlying, fast growing populated and affluent areas of Fargo and West Fargo. A similar scenario exists (less so these days) in...

    QB Transfers

Lincoln Kienholz has been discussed on this forum a fair bit. Here's a 4* guy entering year three and up until now, hasn't sniffed the starting spot at tOSU yet he's still on campus. He and Sayin was supposedly neck and neck all camp before Day named Sayin the starter going into the big game...

B1G Commissioner Floats Expanded Playoff Idea to 28 Teams!

I think the bowl "system" is proof that people will turn on the TV just to have FB on. But I think that until CFB ensures: 1. A level playing field (NIL cap, talent distribution); and 2. Regional representation; it will fail to maximize its potential to attract fans and dollars. While...

I wasn't previously aware of the history of the campus pre-dating the opening of UMM in 1960. Over 30% of its students are NA, who receive tuition waivers, based on the fact the campus was once home to an Indian boarding school last operated by the federal government. The feds gave the school...

UMM is a school that seems to be doing a poor job of serving its population and mission. As part of the University system, it doesn't really fit any part of the historic land grant university mission, i.e., agricultural and mechanical arts and sciences, extension and practical education and...

Taylor donated to the renovated and expanded Taylor Center two decades ago. Has he shown any interest since? Brennan (cable exec) donated for MSU's top notch hoops arena but same question? I agree that there just isn't going to be community and alumni support. While I noted above that...

2023 Drake also lost to NAIA Northwestern although, again to be fair, NAIA offers scholarship dollars.

To be fair, Sioux Falls offers scholarships for FB while UST does not. But the Pioneer model might be the future for a lot of FCS schools.

    Brosmer in Vikings Game

Being a pre-med major doesn't mean a person will be accepted into med school. Every now and again, we hear about athletes who come out of school pre-med taking their shot in the pros with eventual plans to return to med school. Does anyone know of any examples where this has actually happened...

    Gophers vs Northwestern at Wrigley

Agreed. The sightlines suck for the most part. If you're low, the rake is shallow. If you're up high, you're far away.

Kansas has received an unprecedented $300 million gift from donor David Booth, believed to be among largest single gifts in history of college sports

Anyway, good for KU. I wish KU and the donor all the success and happiness. I give a significant portion of my earnings to charity and no doubt many soft tyrants would second guess the object of my bounty and the same can be said for any charitable giving by any donor. Someone else always...

Kansas has received an unprecedented $300 million gift from donor David Booth, believed to be among largest single gifts in history of college sports

I think I read $75 million is going towards the stadium/stadium district and the balance to create a revenue stream for KU athletics. For so long, donors were pushed for brick and mortar projects. But the push now is for athletic endowments.
