That is a valid reason for having a power hitter bunt. It can be effective at getting them reset and hitting better.

That was all completely the refs trying to find a way to give Rutgers a chance to win that game. Nothing else. Never would have even looked at the play longer than 10 seconds had a high ranked team made the same play as the Gophers.

Agreed on the bolded. It is the ultimate firable offense. It is unwatchable basketball. This has the very possible outcome of destroying an entire generation of future Gopher fans.

So....to summarize: we don't have very good basketball players.

There is no "Magic Johnson" point guard walking into the Gopher hoops future. And as many have pointed out that our best freshman, Payne, should start....our coach disagrees. Not putting any faith in that guy recruiting a clueless point guard to help right the ship and sail us to the promised land.

I've actually enjoyed reading Spaulding's short zingers this year far more than any Gophers basketball games. Far more entertaining! I just skip the games and read the meltdowns. Bonus for doing so; I have saved tons on mental/emotional therapy fees!
