Summer Splash - Making recruiting waves

Hope so, but I wonder if the murders might cause some recruits to hold off committing.

ANNUAL GOPHERHOLE PICTORIAL COUNTDOWN TO GOPHERS SEASON OPENER!!

All right, who moved Bob and Patricia from the back 40 to Pasadena? I suspect it was someone who was at the UCLA game last fall. Was it you?

What Should I Expect This Season?

I don’t think Coyle was ever all-in for Ben as the answer.

Sunde was a football player. That picture makes him look like he played in the olden days without a helmet.

Kostas Zaltos is the Hammer Throw Champion! He is the first #Gophers NCAA Outdoor Champion since 2018 and just the third outdoor champ since 1971!

Also remarkable is that Minnesota finished 1st and 2nd in the Hammer throw. Congrats to both Zaltos and Mantzouranis.

Jameson Geers is a sneaky really good TE

AK was throwing hard on the short routes BSF was assigned, and they weren’t accurate enough to be catchable. Having a different QB that threw with touch may have allowed him to repeat his very good 2022 year.

What Should I Expect This Season?

I would be very happy if Niko can finish in the top 12 of the B1G, which I think would be a good first year goal to have. And I would be ecstatic if they went 10-10, which last year was good enough for 9th (Indiana).

Another recruiting tool for coach Fleck? The city of Minneapolis?

I liked the old flag because it had a lot of information to be found: 1819, the year Fort Snelling was founded. 1858, the year Minnesota became a state 1893, the year of Minnesota’s first state flag 19 stars, After the original 13 states, Minnesota was the 19th state added to the union. Farming...

It's changed a bit, but for a long time, young women athletes at many colleges were called Lady, like Lady Gophers, Lady Hawks, etc. It's fine if the women athletes don't like it, but it always sounded classy to me.

    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

I think the Huskies are going to suprise this year. Last year, they just kept getting better, which is a good sign Sprinkle can coach in the B1G.

    Settlement Reached

That's what it sounded like and is too bad. Women's Hockey has been one of the most, if not the most successful women's sport at Minnesota.

Which road game are you going to?

You’re having better luck than me. Last fall as soon as the Cal game was announced, I booked a room in a motel within walking distance of the stadium. Since I booked a year in advance, last week I thought to confirm the reservations, went online and there was no record of the reservation. Turned...

Ohio State's Ryan Day says Big Ten deserves 4 AQ spots in CFP

Are they really going to 10 conference games a year? I find it hard to believe either conference wants to do that.

Another recruiting tool for coach Fleck? The city of Minneapolis?

Yeah, there are some ugly buildings like that, but recently, they’ve built many good looking ones. When I hear Soviet era architecture I think of the fugly apartment skyrise near the UM West Bank. Is it called Cedar Riverside or something like that?
