Great point. Definitely feels like we are doing a much better job of landing the top in-state guys in recent years. Always going to be a battle for those top players but Fleck seems to be doing a solid job convincing them to stick around or come back when they leave.

Great athletes can come from anywhere.....Decker was from a small town as well. Just awesome that a couple elite athletes in Perich and Voss have both decided to stay home, will be fun to see how they use him and how soon he can make an impact.

Awesome to see top guys picking the home state school over the helmet school. Hopefully Petersohn follows suit in the near future and the trio of Perich, Voss, and Petersohn becomes something special at the U.

Hopefully we get his final decision soon as well now that he has visited both finalists. No real news in the tweet, have never heard anyone say they didn't enjoy the official visit because I am sure they are a blast.

He had 2 finalists and he has visited them both so making the announcement now makes perfect sense. Get it done with and focus in on training and preparing for the upcoming season. No point dragging it out if he knows what he wants to do after the visits.

Badgers must feel confident they aren't going to get nailed for doing this to other teams so yeah it should be interesting to see what all comes from this. Tampering is definitely one of the worst parts of all this. Pay the players, let them transfer but if a kid isn't in the portal or looking...

Seems to be a new thing the past 2 years here with local guys. Us and a blue blood....1-0 so far, hopefully 3-0 at the end of this cycle.

I am all for schools calling out other schools for tampering. That is the only way that anything can get done to try and curb that. Nobody affiliated with a different program should be contacting a player who isn't in the portal...but of course we all know that is happening a ton.

Yep....hold the hat ceremony or whatever if you want to....just don't be an ahole about it or intentionally crap on one of the teams by pulling a switchero or fake out.

I suppose it all comes down to how he plans to make his commitment. Now that he has visited his final 2 it would seem like a decision should be coming at some point in the near future assuming he wants to have this wrapped up prior to the start of his senior season.

These threads get contentious because there are still posters (far fewer then there used to be) that treat these rankings like they are completely accurate, even though it would be impossible for them to be given what is involved in accurately ranking thousands of players across the country...
