Conversely, when the Gophers lose, I generally don't visit here until about Wednesday of the following week because of all the predictable "sky is falling/fire coach X" posts.

I guess if I was in his position, I might watch the officials to signal good or missed before I screamed out the result. My Gopher seats are right in line with the west goal posts. Whenever there is a kick on that end I have to watch the officials to know if it is good or not. So that is what I do.

Just curious, do other major markets have sports radio talk shows hosted by “characters”? I honestly don’t know. All I know is that format must not be targeted at my demographic because I find it pretty much unlistenable.

The first article I saw about it included a list of candidates. Of course PJ was on the list along with Matt Campbell, James Franklin, etc. I really think reporters have a list of coaches they just cut-and-paste into any article about a top level program that needs a coach.

I think most teams on the Gopher schedule have fans that are evaluating their own schedules who are saying "Minnesota is going to be a tough game" (if they are at all realistic). Just because the Gophers play some talented teams does not automatically mean they have to get lucky to find 6 wins...
