100% this. He’s a very competent college QB who goes through his progressions and is fairly accurate. He had some time in the 1st half last week and found the open receiver most of the time. Had less time in the 2nd half and Iowa also dropped more into coverage so Brosmer couldn’t as easily...
I totally agree with that, but I also think it should’ve been called incomplete on the field. 5 or 6 bodies near the end line and a Miami player comes away with the ball. Probably still would’ve been reviewed since it’s inside 2 minutes, but then you’re looking for that evidence the other way...
This is cool to see. His team is 4-0 on the season and he’s putting up pretty good numbers as you’d expect. Cool that he’s taking time to come up for a game during his season after already committing.
UCLA hanging with LSU on the road is shocking to me. Also quite surprised by the Mich score thus far. Just goes to show how little we actually know about these teams early in the season. Rankings are meaningless until week 4 minimum, but the playoff committee probably does it right by waiting...
Walley out as expected, but so is Gousby which came out of left field AFAIK. Luckily Darius Green made his season debut last week, so he’ll step in at S. Still a blow to the depth on the back end.
I kept thinking how much Illinois O reminded me of 2019 Gophers. Lots of RPO (often wide open), grinding hard on inside zone that finally started popping in the 2nd half, rotating backs, accurate QB doing a great job from 10-25 yards, etc.
Agreed. Given time, he looks like a very accurate passer who attempts to read the D and find the open man rather than locking on. Very willing to check down, but only after going through his progressions. I like what I’ve seen the past two weeks, but the pass rush is going to be legit moving...
Agree. Outside of PSU, USC, and UCLA (the other way), I’d be mildly surprised if any game is more than a 14 point margin of victory for whoever wins. I think Minnesota has a very real chance of beating Iowa and Michigan the next two weeks and expect both games to be close. Buckle up and grab...
Oh dang, I was watching on my phone with the sound off while at another game and didn’t even notice his absence. Obviously the D kept it going without him, but he’s such a difference maker. Here’s hoping this wasn’t serious. Fingers crossed.
Yeah, that’s what they were talking about on the GGR podcast this week. Plan seems to be working him in on ST and a specific dime package on D since he couldn’t really practice until July and is likely way behind. Hopefully he forces his way into more playing time…especially in the return game...
Are you serious or is this a bit? Guess I could check your post history, but you’re aware that Notre Dame just lost at home to NIU? And Bowling Green was leading Penn St in Happy Valley deep into the 2nd half? And Wisconsin was either trailing or leading by less than one score late into the 4th...
