Predict the Score Thread: NW State at Minnesota

Yep and in 2022 we obliterated all of our NC opponents. Even in 2021 with the BG debacle we beat Colorado 30-0 that year. This narrative that we play every game super tight is a little tiring at this point, but whatever.

Lu'Cye Patterson reveals NIL situation with the Gophers from last season

Does anyone have the cliff notes on what he said regarding NIL?

Media does not even pay attention to women’s basketball.

I guess my point is if the demand for media attention isn't there, why would the media give it any more attention? If that's prejudicial then so be it, but typically the media focuses on what will generate clicks/eyeballs, that's all I'm saying. FWIW I would have loved to hear about this...

Media does not even pay attention to women’s basketball.

With all due respect, why should the media pay much attention to Women's basketball?

Former Minnesota standouts Tanner Morgan and Emma Carpenter will partner with play-by-play announcer Jason Ross Jr on Saturday's Gopher game.

Women are just as capable as men of asking generic, canned questions and reporting back generic answers from coaches and players. I don't see a whole lot of sideline reporters of either gender giving brilliant in-depth analysis when I am watching games.

Predict the Score Thread: NW State at Minnesota

We played that very same Western Illinois team in 2022 and beat them 62-10 so I'm not too sure about that.

Northwestern State worst Gophers' opponent since... ?

That BG team would probably be a double digit point favorite over this team.

College football has to do away with big games week 1

Someone can check me on this but I'm fairly certain college football on average is higher scoring than the NFL.

    Lee Corso

Yeah I was definitely one who was saying it was long past time to get him off the show, but that’s not out of any dislike. He’s about as likable and respectable as anyone who has been a major figure for that long.

Post Game Thread: Gophers 1-0 After 23-10 Win Over Buffalo

I thought I was the only one. I’d rather have the guy out there you can trust unless the game is completely out of reach. I understand the other argument but feel like it is getting overly criticized. Just one fans opinion.

    Nebraska

GH has a weird obsession with Nebraska IMO. Wouldn't shock me if they have a pretty good year.

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

I admittedly haven't read through all 8 pages of this thread so I don't have the background here, but is the suggestion that Shedeur is a victim or at least having his evaluation tainted by unconscious boas/racism? I'm not making accusations, because like I said I haven't rad all the back and...

All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

I don't love giving up the 4th for him at all, but so be it. A JJ-Addison-Thielen trio with Hockenson at TE could be pretty lethal when Addison is back though. JJM couldn't ask for a much better situation to step into.

WSJ: Arch Manning Is the Biggest College Quarterback Prospect Ever. Finally, He’s Getting the Keys.

Don’t get me wrong he’s good, potentially great, but he’s nowhere near the prospect that Andrew Luck, Trevor Lawrence and others were at this stage. Heck he’s probably not the biggest prospect named Manning. Not a knock on him, just a knock on the hyperbole from the author.

WSJ: Arch Manning Is the Biggest College Quarterback Prospect Ever. Finally, He’s Getting the Keys.

Biggest in name maybe, but he’s nowhere near the best prospect to ever come out of high school, and he won’t be the biggest ever coming out of college.
