Maybe something in the realm of all the other bowls broadcast by the same source, ESPN? Admittedly I was watching at a larger watch party with fewer opportunities to listen in on the broadcast but it did seem like the broadcast was heavy on Mayo and vomiting and light on insightful commentary.

At least part of this is due to repeatedly getting screwed over from best case situations (and more notable/better opponents) with bowl placements by the bowl committees and conference. But as others have said, you can only play who they lined you up to play and you still have to win the games...

Plus one of the B1G playoff eliminations was at the hands of another B1G team. And, I think in most (all?) of the B1G/SEC matchups, the SEC team had a better record or was ranked higher or was favored.
