2022-20223 College Football Head Coach Fired/Hired Thread

Considering the options that they might have had, I'll be glad if they go this route...

Souhan: Fleck's overuse of Ibrahim in the past month doesn't represent one red flag — it represents a bouquet of them.

I love your optimism....and I am hoping to catch it! I just have more doubts. I love Athan and would like to believe that QB play will improve next year (but the last few games, with Athan, have been hard to watch). Love Evans, and wish he had played more this year, but not sure he can...

Agree with almost everything you just said....and have been thinking it for a long time!

    For the seniors

I have been looking online for the most games played by a Minnesota Gophers football player as I imagine Howden, Morgan, and Schmitz (among others) must be on the all-time list...but haven't been able to find a list. Does anyone know where these guys rank on the list of most games played by a...

Brevyn Spann-Ford will not be participating on Senior Day

Gotta disagree with your sentiment. He is one of the only receiving weapons we have and, when he is on and the game plan utilizes him, he is outstanding

Athan will be the starter this Saturday per TheGopherGuys on Twitter

I am old as well...and I definitely care! I just don't think that playing Morgan over Kaliakmanis gives us a better chance to win either or both of the trophy games. If that's the case, then which quarterback should we start this year to give us a better chance to win both next year?

I think we have a better chance at winning games with Athan.

Athan will be the starter this Saturday per TheGopherGuys on Twitter

So....first off I want to thank Tanner Morgan for all he has given and provided to The U. We were in QB No Man's Land before he arrived on campus. Since then, we (and he) have had an excellent run and accomplished a lot! He has, and will continue to have, a warm spot in my heart for what he...

    Jack Robinson commits to Wisconsin

OK Gopher fans...here is my take on the Minnesotans-to-Wisconsin situation...I agree that the Minnesotans that have committed to and played with the Badgers recently have not been 'program changers'. In the last 10 years we have not lost one of those (to WI). That said, there are a number of...

Post Game Thread - SOUND OFF: Gophers get back on winning track by dominating Rutgers

Defense was ELITE! Mo was awesome as usual! Passing game showed some life. Crawford and Kesich were/are great. Team avoided penalties and 'no win' situations. Still concerned about WR and QB play--game plan and opponent didn't require them to do much but wonder if they could have if we...

    We've stagnated. Tough conversation below

I LOVE Coach Fleck and am grateful for what he has done for the program. My son, a sophomore at The U, thinks the world of Coach Fleck and tells me he is the most popular person on campus. I live in Indiana but go to 1-2 games every year and can tell you the atmosphere and 'feel' are different...

Chip: I said it last year and will say it again: Gophers basketball is in really good hands with Ben Johnson.

I think you are correct. I am disappointed that we did not get Chatman, Holloman, or Winter to commit (eventually I think we need to get some/most? of those types to sign on to elevate our program)...but getting Christie and Evans eases my concern

Chip: I said it last year and will say it again: Gophers basketball is in really good hands with Ben Johnson.

I have to push back on that assertion. I think Coach Johnson did a great job of coaching last year. He inherited a flawed team, lost almost all of those players via the Transfer Portal, constructed a roster of transfers from George Washington, College of Charleston, William & Mary, New...

Chip: I said it last year and will say it again: Gophers basketball is in really good hands with Ben Johnson.

I agree! Last year I knew we were undermanned and had little depth. The non-conference games were amazing and I enjoyed the rest of the season (although not the results) knowing that we would show up every game and play hard. Many of those were losses, yes, but better times are coming! LOVE...

***OFFICIAL PURDUE AT MINNESOTA HOMECOMING IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

One of the worst (probably the worst) halves of football this team has played since the Bowling Green debacle. I am more than concerned.

***OFFICIAL PURDUE AT MINNESOTA HOMECOMING IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I fear Mo is out for this game and have serious questions as to whether Potts and Williams can give us the balance we need. If we had Ky Thomas or Bucky Irving right now I would feel so much better. This team looks lost and uninspired. Defense is going to have to take the lead and that 1st...

Post Game Thread: GOPHERS CRUSH MSU! SOUND OFF!

Just got back from East Lansing after watching the Gophers dominate Michigan State in every aspect. Went on the road and beat a team that won 10 games last year and had high hopes for this season just 8 days ago. Defense was outstanding! Offense was inspiring! Was worried about replacing...
