Jerry Kill: “I’ve been known as a fix-it guy. We’ll see if I still have that title or get fired. I’m like anybody else.”

He inherited a 3-9 team, and by my count went 29-29...or do non-conference wins not matter?

Jerry Kill: “I’ve been known as a fix-it guy. We’ll see if I still have that title or get fired. I’m like anybody else.”

Jerry Kill deserves so much more credit than he gets around here. Some of that is his own doing, not really with the results on the field, but his mouth after leaving the program. I'm extremely happy that we ultimately landed PJ, but also grateful what Kill did here. Without the health concerns...

P.J. Fleck believes Tanner Morgan could be a high NFL Draft pick

He'll have had to really work on his physical abilities to go in the first two days. The NFL is also transitioning to more of dual threat QB, and I don't think Tanner has that extra ability (especially at the NFL level) beyond throwing. I don't mean this to take anything away from him. He's the...

Minnesota Gophers - 2020 NFL Draft

Gophers being represented well in the draft. PJ has done tremendous things for this program, but the turn around started with Kill/Claeys. This was their last recruiting class.

Analysis: Four-star Illinois QB/WR Sam Jackson commits to the Gophers

I saw someone in the Steven Ortiz thread mention that they have their eye on Sam Jackson (nice call!) after someone mentioned that Ortiz could maybe help recruit his 7v7 teammates Phil Riley and Junior Alexander.... Did Ortiz and Jackson play on the same 7v7 team?

STrib profile: Antoine Winfield Jr. could become first Gophers football player drafted in first round since 2006

Winfield Jr is such a stud, and we aren't used to that here. I don't know about first round, but he's gonna represent the U so well in the NFL.

Can/will Seth Green take the next step in his evolution?

me too. PJ is still coaching a team that fully isn't his. He has done a great job with some of the holdovers from the previous regime. It was great coaching for his team to come up with a role for a player like Seth that was too talented to ignore, but I'm guessing that role would never be on...

Can/will Seth Green take the next step in his evolution?

They'll get him on the field no doubt with the wildcat, just might be even more diminished this next year than it was last. He'll no doubt still have at least a small handful of game changing plays there. Just wondering if he'll step up elsewhere. The coaching staff was very creative in the role...

Can/will Seth Green take the next step in his evolution?

Seth stepped up big time, without really having a position two years ago as the Wild Cat QB. He has since scored 16 TDs (13 rushing, 3 passing), and become an impact player while having a relatively small role as a player. The Wild Cat seems to be a diminishing role for this offense. Seth went...

2021 NFL Draft: Rashod Bateman a true No. 1 wide receiver in Minnesota

Tyler Johnson is one of best two or three receivers in school history. I'm not trying to knock Autman-Bell, just pointing out its unlikely he will reach Johnson's level.

2021 NFL Draft: Rashod Bateman a true No. 1 wide receiver in Minnesota

Obviously not worried about Bateman. He'll be a stud, because he is a stud. My concern with the offense is WR2....Gophers have had a WR 1A and 1B for the last two seasons....No one on the receiving corps is going to fill Tyler Johnson's role, so it has to be made up in other ways. Autman-Bell is...

    Jabril Cox, NDSU linebacker/grad transfer

    Youre thinking of Grand Forks.

    Jabril Cox, NDSU linebacker/grad transfer

I bartended at a bar in Bismarck about 5 years ago, and Carson's uncle was a regular there. Was told Carson would have been a Gopher had Brewster ever offered...or even offered a PWO. Said he just kept stringing Carson along, trying to keep him in his back pocket in case some other recruits fell...

    Jabril Cox, NDSU linebacker/grad transfer

Gonna be some stiff competition for him. Just read that Ed Orgeron started following him on twitter. The helmet schools are after him. Also he's from Kansas, and Kansas State's HC coached him for two years at NDSU. I don't think the signs point to the Gophers, but that would be great.

    SON Has Gone Missing

Christ, you had me worried there was a missing person in the world, who frequented this board.

Ciarrocca on PSU: “I really wanted to coach at a school where I felt like we had a legitimate chance to win a national championship"

Fleck basically said the same thing about culture when he came to Minnesota, which is why Kill got so pissed.

    Wisconsin football

Fuck Wisonsin football. I can't stand that team...but its hard to argue against their success, and this thread is completely ironic coming from a Gopher fan perspective. As a Gopher fan, I am jealous of the Badger's success as a football program. I think PJ is bringing us to that level though...

    More Problems at Penn St.

Penn State needed a complete reset after Sandusky, and they never did it.
