    Evans commits to North Carolina

Still, until it is confirmed, the Title of the thread should have a question mark. It is not a fact and stating that it is in the Title is just "Click Bait". A question mark would indicate that it is a discussion/speculation.

Wall Street Journal: The Dark Money Behind Duke Basketball

It is comical about how all the talking heads are so impressed that the final fours are mostly #1 seeds! "Look, we are getting to see the best teams play...." The NIL and transfer rules boil it all down to who can buy the best players. The days of underdogs making it very far in the...

    Niko’s roster construction

Earth to Major "whoever the Fck you are".... brilliant observation, coach obviously must be a failure since he hasn't filled out the team in his first week of being at the U.

    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

Who says the B1G isn't attractive to good coaches. Any coaching spot in the B1G is a seat at the table of one of the most powerful basketball conferences in the country. You are coaching against many of the best coaches in the country.

    Jefferson is Gone

BFD. If the new regime can get the NIL money like expected to compete in the B1G. Giving out scholarships to HS players will be rare occurrence these first few years. You only invest that time on a player if you are really excited about them. HS players will only get limited playing time and...

    The New Recruits

This is good news so far, but it is as expected this early into a coaching change. Just looking at the program as a business: 1) For the player: they already have a commitment to a B1G school. Why burn that bridge unless you have another more attractive offer in your pocket. 2) For the...

    Niko’s roster construction

I think that is the goal, but it takes time to build a culture. There will be expectations, but no players that have played under those expectations (to reinforce the message). So, I think the first year will have more structure, but it will get better the next year.

It is also a method that is only used by the smaller schools. All of the Big programs in the Sweet 16 have lost many of their "young and developing" players to the portal and all of them can afford to fill their gaps with transfers who developed at other schools.

    Reports on Spring Practices

Sure, maybe you can throw in a couple of combined practices with a few of the local high schools also.... WTF, why would you want to dilute your practices with a bunch of kids that have no business being on the same practice field? And why would you introduce them to your style and tempo of...
