I think you have to define "succeed in that environment". You aren't going to win the Big Ten without substantial NIL money, you can strive for 500 conference record and be an NCAA bubble team but without decent NIL money that is about all you are going to get.

How do you attract an experienced coach without a treasure trove of NIL money. Doubt you do, things have changed.

Could be, 4 out of the 5 South kids transfered a couple of years ago. I Don't think any of them sat a year but I have no idea if they transfered again.
