Or was it opponents knew we lived on those slant plays and they were determined to defense us to throw sideline passes? I do agree we seemed to lack the receivers willing to go over the middle, take the hit and hold on on a consistent basis.
One area of concern that I see with the passing game is how every team, not just Iowa has taken away the slant routes that made the 2019 version so lethal. Or is it we have no receivers willing to go over the middle to catch the ball? If we had that back our passing performance would look a...
PJ doesn't think that is true but the "experts" who continually rate the recruiting classes always have the great 4 star talent ahead of Minnesota. That is how PJ was defending his players.
Since everyone is assuming, how about this assumption. Think of the shit storm that would be caused if Potts had a blood clot that formed in his lungs due to receiving the Covid-19 vaccination? That would be a condition that would definitely cause silence at ground zero. I can tell from a past...
There was a 15 minute or so interview with PJ and two or three players after the game. Jack Gibbens was one of the players interviewed. It appeared to take place just outside the locker room for the Gophers as you could see the field in the background.
Why would PJ and two, maybe three players be outside the field giving a post game interview that I watched if something this serious happened as described? I just don't get it.
If Huntington is looking for a quick way for their marketing program to gain goodwill, they would receive that from Minnesotans by using our colors for their logo.
I've been watching Gopher BB since the 1960's and never saw any player get hurt due to the raised floor. This also includes watching hundreds of state basketball tournament games there as well. It's one of several features that make Williams unique. It's actually safer than the playing...
For the benefit of Richard Pitino and the Minnesota BB program, it is best a change is made. Give Richard and the program a chance to reestablish himself and itself.
Richard Pitino did a decent job the first year and a half when his father was sitting in the first row behind the bench and in talking distance to call out instructions. Once he didn't show up for games any quality of play was gone as well.
You need to add the fact Morgan had to deal with a very serious health condition that his father fought throughout 2020. This in itself would be enough to sidetrack anyone from overall job performance.
