I watched substantial parts of at least 4 USC games this year, including my attendance at HBS this year. Mark me down as unimpressed by Moss. Not to mean I think he's terrible, but nothing about him made me think "I wish he played for us". I'd say save your money for something else, PJ.

As someone that doesn't fully invest in understanding all of the recruiting nuances, NIL, etc, can the Gophers slow start in recruiting this fall possibly be attributed to Motzko being ahead of the game and has targets in Canadian hockey leagues?

Fair point, and I guess I don't have an actual number. For me I think it's more about how dangerous they are on the PP and while in the O-zone 5v5. Watching this team so far, they do not put me on the edge of my seat when I see a D-man get set up with a one-timer. I hope I'm underestimating...

We had a guy in high school we called "Credit" because his vertical was about the thickness of a credit card. I'm betting Bert fits in that category also.

I agree that they'll put up points. I just don't see tons of goals coming from them. Bob made the point about lack of goals from the D-men last year and I just don't think there will be a huge jump up this year. I'd be very pleasantly surprised if any of them get to 10 or more.

It's unlikely a that a bunch of goals are going to come from the D corps. Mike Vanelli and Jordan Leupold aren't on the team. I'm hoping, though, that they can continue to feed the breakout and transition from defense to offense, where the forwards clearly do have guys that can finish.

He might really be a smart guy and a fantastic coach someday, but unfortunately he can't teach anybody how to run over 4 guys and push the pile 4 extra yards like he used to do.

I never was a fan of these. I always referred to them as the "Heartbeat" jerseys because the M's look like the blip heartbeats make on medical devices. I'll show myself out now.

Michigan looks very "meh" for 50 minutes, but looks like the 1970's Soviet Olympic team for 10 minutes. Enough to win the game.
