I'm taking advantage of this deal as well.

Marcus Carr Most Physical PG Since...

Fair enough, but Mason was much more of a jump shooter than Carr. Carr gets many of his shots around the rim - some of them incredibly tough though!

Marcus Carr Most Physical PG Since...

Mason was pretty physical. Carr doesn't shoot it quit like Mason, but drives hard and finishes well. Either way, we need Carr to play well. He's a bit careless with the ball and bit lazy on D at times, but wow he's a difference maker in general. Two more years of Carr is a good thing.

All Things Kerwin Walton Recruitment Thread (Class of 2020)

I think the Wayzata kid was there too - Heide? It was good to see Damien, Mbakwe and Humphries there too.

I understand why. I'm simply stating that those choices greatly impacted the potential of each team.

Who cares? This is a Gopher forum.

    Marcus Carr appreciation thread

Greenlee looks very nervous with the ball. He got stripped in the FIU game and looked shaky last night. He would have really benefited from more playing time early in the season - tough to throw him in now against teams like PU. He does play very solid D though. But ultimately he may have to...

    Marcus Carr appreciation thread

It's pretty clear we would have lost by 20+ without Carr. He had a couple of very bad TO's at crucial times, but I just have to go back to my first sentence to get over it. The kid is tough as nails and I'm very glad to have him leading the Gophers for the next few years.

Willis to miss second straight game

I was at the game and saw that Willis was wearing a boot. What exactly did he do? Worries me that he's going to be out for an extended period of time. Hopefully just precautionary. Also, holy crap Freeman is a big dude...and pretty athletic. He's obviously very raw, but could see him being...

Shooter: Jim Dutcher expects Oturu to be an all-conference center before his college career ends.

Love Oturu. I think he still lacks explosiveness a bit. But that's nitpicking. He could easily go pro next year - maybe not a really high pick, but certainly get drafted. I think he really enjoys being a Gopher and in college, so it'll be interesting to see how long he sticks around. I sure...

All Things Dawson Garcia Recruitment Thread (Class of 2020): UPDATED: Gophers Offered

So disappointing. But hope he does well and spends just one year there. Or alternatively turns into the next Dahlman or Illikanen(sp). I'm bitter.

It's easy to read into this stuff too much, but I have a bad feeling that it's Marquette.

Michigan Hires Juwan Howard as Next Head Basketball Coach

Can he pull recruits like Penny? Much more difficult to get into Michigan and Penny also loaded his staff with Mitchell and Miller. Shall be interesting. I still can't believe Beilein went to the Cavs.

Danny Hurley is hiring Minnesota's Kimani Young as an assistant at UConn

That's interesting. And probably not good for the east coast connections, as well as IW. I wouldn't be sad if we focus on more MN kids however. So much talent here.
