What was your favorite Patrick Reusse moment?

Per usually the same race baiting people trying to get someone fired over something not even related to race simply because they don't understand the context.

College Soccer is Looking at Becoming a Pro League

I'm not sure what the rankings are based on but they seem accurate to the overall popularity and quality of the leagues. I know if you look at revenue alone it looks pretty accurate. EPL $9b La Liga $6.7b Bundesliga $5.7b Serie A $4.6b Ligue 1 $3.1b MLS $2.8b So MLS by revenue is about #6...

College Soccer is Looking at Becoming a Pro League

Best case it becomes the #6 behind the French top League. There's just too much competition in the US with the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB....ect. There's not really any major sport in Europe that comes close to rivaling soccer. Rugby is pretty popular in some areas and basketball has grown but still...

    Six Gophers headed to combine

Yeah, wasn't comparing them physically as much as play style. Kupp was a 4.6 40 guy, Jackson is probably right around there, maybe slightly faster. And even though Jackson is smaller he's actually pretty good at contested catches. My comparison is more that he's a good hands, short area...

College Soccer is Looking at Becoming a Pro League

The field not being frozen doesn't mean the players aren't freezing and keeping the field warm will be an additional cost across the league and many stadiums are not even able to heat the fields. The fact is you can argue all you want that it's not a major problem but it is. Northern US is much...

    Six Gophers headed to combine

Cody had surgery and Joyner did well in the drills he participated. in. Although Cody not competing due to injuries which is a knock on him already isn't probably helping his draft stock.

    Six Gophers headed to combine

I think he competed in the two events that were best for him to compete in for sure. He's not going to show well in the 40, but what he has is very good short area quickness. And you can see that on film too. What that does for him is he's going to be better at short to moderate depth routes...

    Cody Lindenberg

I think a lot of where he ends up will be based on how teams feel about his injury history. He seems to be projected around a 5th-7th rd pick but I think in reality he's probably talented enough to be 3rd-4th rd pick, might be the injury concerns are bringing him down a bit.

    Cody Lindenberg

Day 1 starter may be a little much but I don't doubt he could be a starter.

College Soccer is Looking at Becoming a Pro League

Yes, there are a few but that's just because they are teams that don't have a soccer specific stadium yet. But players hate playing on turf and they simply don't do that in Europe or other places in the world. I just don't see players wanting to play soccer in MN in -20 temps and snow on a...

College Soccer is Looking at Becoming a Pro League

There are several leagues world wide that have as much or more money and are as high or higher level than the MLS. The MLS wants to compete for players in the higher leagues. Playing in MN or any northern state in the winter would be a huge negative for many players. And no, they would not play...

Max Brosmer invited to NFL Combine

Well this increases his chances of being drafted vs UDFA so that's cool. 15 QBs were invited. about 10-12 get drafted each year.

College Soccer is Looking at Becoming a Pro League

Yes, but the European schedule goes from August through May. That means if they changed it to be like Europe like they're saying you would have to play games outside in MN in Dec, Jan, Feb, and March. Currently, the preseason starts in Feb and they are us usually in California the entire...

Daniel Jackson invited to NFL combine

That's awesome and increases his draft potential. About 70% of the players at the combine get drafted. He's one of the guys that's hard to pin down where he will go in the draft. He has the hands, route running, production , and size to be a mid rounder but a may not test out as being fast...

Max Brosmer 2025 NFL Draft: Scouting Report For Minnesota Golden Gophers QB

Nothing to do with being wrong. If they don't do it on the field it doesn't matter if they do it in throwing drills. The data can be right, but also if the player doesn't actually perform that way in games then the data doesn't matter.

    Gopher 2025 Offensive Line Outlook

I thought someone earlier in the thread said there is a new OL coach, maybe I misread it. Like I said, that talent is there but a lot of players will be playing together for the first time on the OL this year. Might take a while to gel as a unit. Hopefully not too long.

    Gopher 2025 Offensive Line Outlook

I think there is enough talent there to be solid but my concern will be how cohesive the unit will be with all the new players and new OL coach. Might be a work in progress as the season goes more so than usual.

Max Brosmer 2025 NFL Draft: Scouting Report For Minnesota Golden Gophers QB

I guarantee you nobody is looking at these metrics and thinking "well geez, I guess what I'm actually seeing on film is wrong".

Max Brosmer 2025 NFL Draft: Scouting Report For Minnesota Golden Gophers QB

This is a throwing session, not in a real game situation. It does not matter what he can do standing in there with no threat of pressure, throwing to players not being covered, when timing doesn't mean as much. Sometimes what you see on the field doesn't lineup with metrics and this is one of...

Max Brosmer 2025 NFL Draft: Scouting Report For Minnesota Golden Gophers QB

I'm sure most of these guys go into the NFL wanting to work their way up to to being a starter but I think many also lose that train of thought by their 4th season if it hasn't happened and sort of settle into the "in case of emergency" sideline coach sort of QB. I would 100% expect Max to go at...
