The NCAA is considering allowing five years of eligibility for players in all sports moving forward, per an NCAA official.

I'm willing to bet Maxx Williams could still ball at the college level. Come back and we'll add another "x" to your name in appreciation Maxxx! NIL dollars are waiting!

Pros and Cons with the new playoff system

Watching teams win the Sugar Bowl/Rose Bowl/etc. and having a big celebration with confetti and a big ceremony, only to have to play in the Cotton Bowl or Orange Bowl and have the same thing happen a week later is really dumb IMO. Maybe this is a minor thing that I'm overreacting to, but the...

Minnesota Vs. Virginia Tech - Duke's Mayo Bowl - Media Predictions

Was thinking the same exact thing. Wouldn't mind a number of dinks picking the Turkeys to win.

Current get-in prices for the quarterfinals on @StubHub. Rose: $170 Fiesta: $40 Sugar: $33 Peach: $16

The “get in” pricing is always deceiving, as they always reference resale sites that have crazy high fees that are conveniently not included.

Watson can't stay healthy and Williams has been a constant headache. I fully agree with you on the ineptness of that draft, but I don't want either one of those dudes.

This was my 9-year old's first fantasy team. I helped guide him on when to pick positions, general strategy, etc during the draft, but every player was his choice. Then during the season, I kept on top of injuries and poor performances, but he picked all the replacements. He scored the most...

The somewhat interesting thing about GB (specifically offense) is almost all of their pass catchers have been in the NFL 2-3 years. I thought they weren't as good at drafting, as none of them are really "elite", but they all are decent. This may be to their advantage. If you look at their stats...

    WR Malachi Coleman Commits

Agreed. In the new age of college football, you get him in, if he doesn’t buy into the program and put in the effort, you show him the door next offseason. Very low risk. As far as Wright, while he didn’t live up to the hype, he did some nice things and was still worth the scholly he was taking up.

    WR Javon Tracy Commits

You apparently haven’t gotten deep enough into the truth. Tracy’s grandpa was seen on the grassy knoll. If he gets pinned by the authorities, Tracy’s dad is never born, and thus Tracy is never born. If you want to hear about some shady stuff going on in pizza places, I’ve got some stuff to show you.

Courts rule JUCO doesnt count against eligibility

You’re going to end up with a lot of guys like Brosmer and Russell Wilson while at UW that just take the minimum class load and are basically hired football players. If there was an argument that they aren’t employees, this kind of kills that.

    Daniels in portal

So is this a case where he thinks he's worth more in NIL than whatever he's getting? Or isn't a fit with the culture? Seems odd when you're projected to be a starter as a R-So and you up and leave. Starting jobs at the B1G level don't grow on trees. But trying to use logic in this wild west is...

Kirk Herbstreit’s son commits to Michigan, OSU message boards blowing up

Looking at his 24/7 page, there isn't much going on. Bolded is my take as well. Was he given an offer just as a way to "stick it to" OSU? Then if you're the kid, your choices are go the FCS route, or take their offer and go get a really good education for free at Michigan while you warm the...

Seems a bit odd to just give people money for nothing in return. These guys could make decent money if they were able to sell game-worn, autographed items and/or other items. Seems like a reasonable way for the U to spend some of their NIL money on additional equipment - tell the athletes that...

F'n CMC. Got him at pick 3 in one league (thought I had the steal of the draft) and first overall in my other league. My wife had him in her second league as well. Really put a lot of eggs in that basket. Boo.

I'm not ready to start crowing yet about this as he's still young and not super experienced. However, it would be hilarious if the "Packer way" of dealing with QB's came back to bite them in the butt. The landscape now of how you deal with QB's and when you pay and how much you have to pay them...
