Rational thinking on GH is considered a fault. I sometimes forget that.

Read what I said. I agreed on your other points, I just took exception with the freshmen inexperience part. And using your rationale Duke just having more inexperienced freshmen wouldnt be a plus just more inexperience. I was arguing that Bailey and Harpers inexperience wasn’t their primary...

Yes they are not the same. But they are comparable. It is sad that these sort of simple things need to be explained.

Rutgers has 2 freshmen who will be drafted in the top 5. Duke will have 2 or 3 in the top 10. Yeah nothing comparable about those 2 at all…

Duke survived the youth factor quite well. Your other points I agree with.

A 16-team College Football Playoff wouldn't be catastrophic, it would fix things

Well the 68 teams in basketball is only 16% of the D1 teams but just like in football, only a much smaller fraction is using the tournament as the bar for success.

    2025-26 Gopher Mens Basketball Roster

Could be the same reason that I wouldn't tell anyone in high school the name of my Canadian model girlfriend?

A 16-team College Football Playoff wouldn't be catastrophic, it would fix things

The coaches behind the scenes all push to keep expanding the playoffs. Then they can have an artificially low bar that sportswriters can cite, like making the NCAA Basketball tournament, on how they can keep their jobs.

I really hope he comes here but hope it’s not because he doesn’t think he’ll be able to get on the field at Alabama.

He is fun to watch but he is trending towards a 10 to 1 K to BB ratio. That’s not good.

You are one of my favorite posters, but I gotta disagree here. My brief classes in social statistics taught me one little thing in between mind bending boredom. It takes ALOT to make a statistical trend. In this case, if you throw out our 11-1 win over Cleveland, we are -9 and them -13...

Run differential is barely important over 162. We have played 35. 1 or 2 odd results can throw off the differential even over 100 games. I guess either way it doesn’t matter. They will decide the playoffs based on W/L.

Former Gophers guard Braeden Carrington is now a Badger.

Yeah! The Badgers are dumb dumb faces!

I agree on the last part. As to the 1st part, run differential is worthless in baseball. Games get away from a team and the losing team rarely cares after diw by 8 or 10. By no means does it mean that the Twins are 24 runs better than the Indians. Another example the Gopher baseball team list...

Big Ten Football: Biggest post-spring concerns for every team (Minnesota — Who will emerge as the top wide receiver?)

I absolutely agree. I read GH and there are a lot of posts about how we are set at QB. And I don't get to see any practices or have super inside knowledge of the team, but I am just not sure how we have any idea at this point what the QB play will look like? Hope it all works out great, but it...

I would love to be rid of Correa but I think at this point you would have to pick up so much of his salary thatI am not sure how much it would help. I guess to get AB’s for a younger player.

    Hudson Dunn commits to Gophers!

The frustrating part about todays college football is that as impressive as it is putting guys in the pros, Lindenberg will probably make less than some of the Oregon and Michigan LB’ers.

    All Things Gopher Baseball

Was sitting at the bar and started to talk to a super nice guy. After a bit of talking baseball he said his nephew is Michael Busch, the 1st baseman for the Cubs. I didn't realize he was a MN guy. Played college in North Carolina, but played at Simley. The Star Trib used to have a great little...
