Gophers' top-seven next season, but they have PLENTY of options - Tony Liebert

Odukale's not here to sit, imo. The guy can defend, is our only 3 with any size, and has started 80+ college basketball games in his career.

Gophers' top-seven next season, but they have PLENTY of options - Tony Liebert

And the nice thing is, for the bulk of them this is their last season, so no quitting mid-season, or threatening to transfer.

Toledo’s Tyler Cochran commits to Minnesota.

That's my hope. That Betts can help us there against bigger wings. He appears to have the agility to defend the spot, and a nice shooting stroke. Despite being in the program 2 years, he's still really young.

Toledo’s Tyler Cochran commits to Minnesota.

I agree. I think Cochran helps fill that void. Between Mike Mitchell, Patterson & Cochran, we should be able to score some points outside of Garcia. I also have some concerns about guarding bigger wings (last year's Achilles heal) behind Odukale. If Odukale were to get injured, it'd be tough to...

And mature. There's value in having a bunch of guys who're 22-25 y/o,

Wild story about former Duke player Filipowski

Do we bad mouth Islam if a Muslim player is drafted? Isn't the reason people feel so comfortable smearing Mormon's mostly because as a predominantly White religion, they're one of the only minority groups that bigots can attack without fear of reprisal?

    Tyler Cochran?

More NIL money, probably less minutes available.

    Cam Christie to the Clippers

Kind of a bummer he fell so far, and I'm sure he'd tell you the same. Not only is it harder to command guaranteed money that far down into the 2nd round, but CBJ & the program would also have benefitted from a 1st round spot.

    All things biking.

My hot girlfriend and I bought e-bikes last Spring. They're like the fountain of youth. Especially great if you're riding with your lady. e-bikes are the great equalizer for women. No waiting for her to catch up. No whining. Just right there with you stride, for stride the whole way. They're...

Howie Johnson (Class of 2026) Commits to Gophers!

Quality DT's don't grow on trees. This is a HUGE get!

CBJ on Coyle: He knows we've done it the right way. He knows we took the right step last year. I told him we're trying to move the needle every day.

Point guard by committee. Pretty much what most of us imagined. The million dollar question is who guards the other team's PG? Sounds like he's very high on Odukale!

    Ken Evans Jr. campaign thread!

Fed Ex's $25 million donation to Memphis' NIL could be a game changer. It signals it can be done. From what I understand, the U, and/or our NIL collective is actively trying to work something to bring corporate NIL sponsorship to the Gophers. Will it work? I don't know. I do know that no one...

    Ken Evans Jr. campaign thread!

It's the only chance we have. I don't think the average fan cares about Gopher basketball. Those that do understand our problem is not coaching. John Wooden would be lucky to get to the NIT without serious NIL money. This is as good as it's ever gonna get, unless we find a way to make our...

    Ken Evans Jr. campaign thread!

You make it seem as if CBJ has a stockpile of money that's sitting unused in his account. We just don't have the money. If we did, Hawkins, & Payne would still be here. If we did, we'd have signed a top PG when we lost Hawkins. imo CBJ will be given another year if the team is as competitive as...

    Ken Evans Jr. campaign thread!

Keep hope alive. No one would be happier than me if we got Evans. Ok, Sane would be, and maybe you too, but I'd be near the top of the list. :) That said, while I'm not trying to rain on you guy's parade, the forces of reality compel me to point out that we have a limited budget, and are in no...

    Ken Evans Jr. campaign thread!

We wouldn't, especially an unknown. As much as people here are high on Evans, he has never started a game for a high major. He was POY on a mediocre team, in a crummy conference. He could be great, hell, he's probably great, but you don't pay a guy that kind of money when he's not a proven...

    Ken Evans Jr. campaign thread!

Good news. We signed a 23 y/o big wing with 64 high major starts under his belt. He averaged 10.7 pts & 6.4 rebs a game, plays excellent defense & can run the point for us when needed.
