Apparently he's appealing based on missing much of 2021-2022 exacerbated by the trauma of playing for Ben Johnson. I like his odds.

That's exactly why it's not rude. If they find out on say July 25th that they get an extra year, the # of spots and $$ available will be limited. If he doesn't go in the portal his only option would be to come back to MN, who might not have a roster spot much less any $$.

This is a rare case where I wouldn't assume this means he's gone. Given the unknowns, the players seeking this extra year have to keep their options open.

I don't see how firing Rocco effects the sale. Either way the interim would finish the season and the new owner would hopefully fire Falvey and install a whole new regime. Rocco will not be managing the Twins in 2026 in any case. Pull the plug now and see if Toby G or Tingler can spark anything.

Monday would be a good day to fire Rocco.
