Interesting baseball stats

I did not know this was even a rule. Figured it is always a sac fly and RBI.

It just happened in tonight's Twins game with Gray getting Martin home in this fashion with a pop up to the 3B running away from the plate.

Vargas made a great throw, but an equally stellar slide by Martin beat the tag.

For now they have credited Gray with a 5th RBI in addition to his Grand Slam. I am curious if the Twins Official Scorekeeper is unaware of the rule.

I will be interested to see how it plays out, I am sure Vargas was in foul territory when he made the catch tonight.

Adell has done it before. Wasn't off his head but assuming this one from yesterday gets changed to a 4 base error, he might be the only player in modern times to have two 4 base errors.

I didn’t know that was even possible 🤯

This is more of an Interesting Baseball "Factoid" than Statistic because whomever is in charge the Minnesota Twins In Game Scoreboard information last night did not provide the exact number:

White Sox DH Andrew Benintendi currently has more Plate Appearances against the Minnesota Twins than any active MLB Player.

The board said he is approaching "350".

Today seems to be Benintendi Day at Target Field with a Single - Double - Home Run this afternoon. It was his 13th round tripper at Target Field.
