90s music

For my money, one of the best songs of the 90s

 




We are in the so called holiday zone for die hard Uncle Tupelo fans as March 16-20, 1992 would be the band's penultimate studio album.

The title refers to the recording time spent in Athens, GA under the guidance of Pete Buck. It would be the last album for the original line-up as drummer Mike Heidorn would leave the band, but would return to work with Farrar as part of Son Volt version 1.0.

Once in a while Jay will pull this traditional folk song out in a solo show. Here's the band's version of it though.

Was feeling Placebo this morning. Their first two albums, both in the 90s, were (imo) their best. But they've got a bunch of good albums.
