Illegal formation, only 5 men on the LOS
Nyler Daniels is committed to the cause.
Explains why they have been unable to win the title the past 3 years. QB is the most important position on the field and clearly the QBs have not gotten on board with the team culture. Can't expect to win it all if the QB isn't bought in and out there committing violations with the rest of the squad.
Remarkable commitment to his education, therefore definitely not a Georgia prospectKirby Smart’s #1 target in the 2032 recruiting class.
Have you ever tried to get away from a Perkins manager after a "dine-n-dash" while drunk riding a Huffy 10-speed?Just another NIL problem in Georgia...they get too much money and buy fast cars. Gopher guys get their bicycles stolen or vandalized.
You make a good point.Have you ever tried to get away from a Perkins manager after a "dine-n-dash" while drunk riding a Huffy 10-speed?
Advantage: Georgia
Still think this is more of a culture issue then an NIL one. Lots of athletes have fancy cars in both college and the NFL but Georgia seems to have way more issues with speeding and reckless driving then most places.Just another NIL problem in Georgia...they get too much money and buy fast cars. Maybe not profiling?, but quite possibly "Speed traps". Someone most likely complained (rightfully so). If the arrests are in the same area, then it has to be patrols knowing where "the fish" will be.Still think this is more of a culture issue then an NIL one. I'm sure the Alabama and Ohio State players are driving just as fancy of cars as the Georgia players but you don't hear about those guys getting in trouble for being morons behind the wheel.
Many of the cases with Georgia players were much more than just your average speeding tickets. Racing, crashing and reckless speeding have been involved with a lot of the situations.Maybe not profiling?, but quite possibly "Speed traps". Someone most likely complained (rightfully so). Would be interesting to see a scatter plot of of the areas where the tickets were issued.
I don't follow UGA football, so I really don't know much about the players. Many of the cases with Georgia players were much more than just your average speeding tickets. Racing, crashing and reckless speeding have been involved with a lot of the situations.
It's the south where "It Just Means More" so it's probably more likely the police look the other way more often than most other places. In most of these situations though, they didn't have a choice because of the severity.
I agree with you. It was an attempt at humor more than anything. Was it basketball’s Battle that got his bike stolen? Just the contrast struck me.Still think this is more of a culture issue then an NIL one. Sounds like dude got arrested by Buford T Justice
It actually is illegal to block a sidewalk though, especially if it is keeping others from being able to pass. Not the biggest offense but still is the law.ZB has every right to stand on a public sidewalk as long as he chooses … I’m beginning to hate cops.
I'm good with cops, we need them and they generally do a good job, esp the local and county guys in my part of the state. When you have states where you only need a GED equivalent to be one and the pay is 20 bucks an hour in an area where the basic standard of living is 25 bucks an hour minimum (Athens, Georgia to be specific), you get this fragile dick swinging BS. This could've and should've been handled entirely differently. Instead you've got a dude writing ingress and egress in a report who probably couldn't define the two if asked by a defense attorney. This will get dropped like a hot potato.ZB has every right to stand on a public sidewalk as long as he chooses … I’m beginning to hate cops.
Hard to say anything without having been there or good video. Could be an overzealous cop, or could be the cop had to use the sidewalk law as a way to solve a potential bigger issue.I'm good with cops, we need them and they generally do a good job, esp the local and county guys in my part of the state. Mind that I'm not defending Branch outright. He was likely being a giant douche, the information available just makes the cop look like a knob. A sidewalk? Cmon man.

Since the 2023 death of a player and staff member in a single car accident ... 19 people associated with the football program have been arrested for various driving issues.

Police say Mondon was racing teammate; Backup OL also arrested
Georgia's Smael Mondon and Bo Hughley were arrested this week on a pair of misdemeanor driving charges.uga.rivals.com
WTF is going on at Georgia?
There's a lot of "oh but it happens everywhere" kinda talk about just about everything these days, I'm glad our program isn't one of those "happens everywhere" places.
Try doing it with a Minneapolis policeman on the premisesHave you ever tried to get away from a Perkins manager after a "dine-n-dash" while drunk riding a Huffy 10-speed?

You need a hobby,nerd.
I’ve concluded that we can no longer be friends
Paw-paw gave me one already. Back to sweet tea and wood shavings...
What a weird story.....if it turns out the player was just out right ignoring police instructions what a bonehead move on his part this close to the draft. It is similar to the guys who fail a drug test right before the draft....you want these teams to invest millions of dollars in you....don't give them a reason not to by being a dumba$$.
