What grade would you give the Gophers 2025-26 season?

This was a season to be a proud of from the coaches, staff n players. The fact that we only lost Heyer in the portal speaks to the positive energy this team had as a unit. Finishing 4th in a tough Big n beating IO on the road were big steps forward. Winning on the Battle buzzer beater @ the Barn was an epic Gopher memory to get to the sweet 16. Hope we keep improving by adding height , more athleticism n a PG from the portal. Go Gophers !

The only reason I went B was a couple of early season losses. Kansas, Maryland, Alabama. The end was amazing. I worked for the team for three years and two of them we were in the NCAA tournament. NEVER have I experienced the barn like last weekend. I am so proud of this group.

They made the sweet 16 for God's sake! Even if they beat those 3, we still don't get by UCLA.

A for me.. also we only had Tori for 23 minutes of that Kansas as she left with an injury and missed the Alabama game..

this team showed what they can do.. and they put together a NINE game win STREAK in the TOUGHEST conference in the nation..

Lame. Easiest A ever

Try again

Solid A. During the off season I thought maybe they could be top 16 team but losing Mallory and early season losses gave me pause. Holy cow then they went on a run, Hart showed great improvement by the end of the year. It was a fun season to watch! Really hoping this season is a springboard to deeper NCAA runs to come. Congratulations to the 25-26 Gophers team!

Also, the fact that most of them are on the all academic team counts as extra credit😉

"A" if only because I watched the Women's BB Squad at all. Not a hoops guy but I did enjoy the games I watched once on the bandwagon. A lot of class and gutsy play decked in Maroon and Gold. Obviously we have the right coach now too.

Even more impactful, I'm actually curious now to watch UCLA from here. Nothing taken from our beloved Gophers team to say the Bruins have a lot of talent plus the intangibles too. Their coach should consider going to the free night at the local beauty school but otherwise the real deal for them.

Since they are in the B1G+ now, rooting for them to take it all the way. Ski U Mah!

Solid A. They went from winning the WBIT to earning a spot in the Sweet Sixteen, and finished in the 4th spot out of 18 freakin' Big 10 teams, 12 of which made the Tournament.

All of that aside, what really impressed me was after the Maryland collapse, they learned and kept improving. And at no point during the season, except perhaps when they faced UCLA, did I ever feel like they were out of a game. They played hard constantly and always seemed capable of making a come back when they were down. That's coaching, attitude, confidence and a team culture. They became a team that couldn't just hang with the best teams in the Big 10, but realistically beat them on any given night. That's the transformation that earned an A from me.

A- from me. Probably needed wins over Kansas, Maryland, and maybe Alabama to earn an A. (Although early season loss to Maryland was obviously a learning experience. ) Loved this team's chemistry. Very unselfish. It appears they enjoyed each other and loved playing the game. Pre-season loss of Heyer didn't hurt as much as I thought it could. Although Woodson was missed at times. Glenn and Tonga were good portal pickups. Braun was healthy again, Tori is a difference maker, Hart's game and her added confidence made her a force on offense. Battle's efforts were huge in bringing this program back to respectability. Bench players always there to cheer their teammates. I was among those who thought Whalen should get one more year with her prize recruiting class, but Coach P won me over immediately. I'm of the feeling that we absolutely have the right coach to guide this program. Go, Gophers!
