***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT NORTHWESTERN IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Like how our young guys like Grovy and Shin already are progressing so much early in their careers.
Didn't see much of that w/ Lil' Ricky and BJ
It's a system you can learn. Both of the previous coaches had a "make a play for yourself" offense.
That's tough to fit in when a player has short minutes and it is easy to become tentative as we saw from so many players in the past. Honestly, I think that Medved could have made a player out of a kid like Ihnen, just by having a pattern for the kid to work off of.

I think they played pretty well in the first half. These are two teams from the bottom half of the league so the Gophers need to show that they are at least competitive and close to these teams and they've done that in the first half.

Good minutes by Grove so far to compensate somewhat for Crocker-Johnson playing limited minutes. Like to see a little more from Durkin and JCJ in the second half.

It’s unfortunate We don’t have a bench. If we could put somebody on Martinelli, pound the heck out of him, and get him into foul trouble that would help.
He has a tendency to get frustrated when he’s challenged.

I imagine Northwestern fans (and some other opponent fans this year) grow very frustrated watching their teams be seemingly terrible at fundamental defense as they get carved up by backdoor cuts.
Past regimes had zero answers for aggressive, overplaying Ds. So refreshing to see easy buckets.

Durkin is pretty worthless if he’s not hitting outside shots. Does nothing else well.

Martinelli talks a lot of shit. Got in Crocker-Johnson’s face after a timeout earlier.
