Michigan fires Moore

And we get them at home next year, that should be a lot more fun now

The Gophers could be set up for a big run next season. The traditional powers on the schedule (Michigan and Penn State) are both going through coaching changes and are somewhat down. Michigan is a home game.

There's iowa and a trip to Seattle. But no Oregon, Ohio State, USC, etc. 3 winnable non conference home games.

Indiana looks like the big problem for next year.

Hopefully it works better for the Gophers than in 2023 when they lost to Northwestern under a then interim Coach via the Pat Fitzgerald fallout.

That's why I called it an easy schedule in the 2026 thread. If they are going to win 10+ games that is the schedule to do it. Pulling it off is a whole nother story.

I’ve forecasted 10-2 with only Ls coming in the state of Indiana.

Honey potted? Jilted mistress? No surprise. No buyout.

this is why these kinds of things are unfathomably stupid. You give her obvious leverage to destroy you unless you do everything she demands.

There are a couple million women in the Ann Arbor - Detroit metro and he has to get involved with his direct report and put himself in blindingly obvious jeopardy if anything at all goes wrong.

This is the biggest scandal since the last michigan scandal
This sexual abuse/harassment/misbehavior virus seemed to migrate down from Michigan State. Someone should have put Larry Nasser in quarantine.

Didn’t watch, but how’s it great when you’re going to be one of the last programs to hire a coach.

If you're too lazy to watch an 8 minute video, I'm going to assume you're too lazy to read any synopsis I'd give you.

By the way, to address the concerns of a different poster, I'm aware of Deace's politics and I disagree with him on most everything, but he's a dyed in the wool Michigan guy so I find his takes on Wolverine football interesting. Granted, he's not a football savant/oracle like many of us here on Gopher Hole are, but he is in the lion's den — or, the wolverine's den, if you will.

Michigan is Michigan. When it comes to football, they have resources that Minnesota can only dream of. I doubt we'll see them scraping the bottom of the barrel for their next coach.

So it's not that he's a married man, with kids, cheating on his wife.

It's that he chose poorly who to cheat with.

Sheesh.

Wow, sexual assault charges apparently being filed. Just sad some guys can't control themselves

It comes down to the question of who moved first. I'm way old and my days as a flirting target are a speck in the rearview mirror, but even if she was batting her lashes and making a kissy face, Moore could have avoided any invitation (even if there was one and I want to make it clear I am not going to blame her). He was the boss and she was the employee. If he was uncomfortable, he could have called HR.

I know a couple of women who have been in similar situations (sans public exposure) and sometimes guys want to paint them as conniving Jezebels. It wasn't the case for these women and I doubt that's the case here. As Joe Jackson once sang "It's different for girls."

Nobody is paying anybody $10m to play college football.

Honestly, use your head for more than a sunglass rack.
Bryce Underwood's NIL deal with Michigan is a landmark, multi-year agreement, with reports placing its total value between $10 to $12 million over four years, including incentives, making him one of college football's top earners. The deal, facilitated by Michigan's NIL collective and boosters like Larry Ellison, includes a base of around $3 million annually plus performance bonuses, and combines with individual partnerships (Beats by Dre, Celsius) to create a substantial financial package for the star freshman quarterback.

Oh, that's bad too. But if he's gonna do it, pick absolutely anyone but his assistant at work.

Lots of coaches have had affairs (ours is strongly rumored to have had one before) and haven't lost their jobs and created a massive national scandal on top of wrecking their home.
