Michigan fires Moore

Finally! ❌ichigan having some standards! You CAN cheat on the football field but not on your wife! That’s where they draw the line!
Well only if you get caught and it becomes a big public spectacle because she’s your direct subordinate

I feel sorry for Sherrone's wife and kids, but as for him, he's a grown man and life is about choices and he made his. Now live with those choices. As for Mich, this is a storied program but just 2 yrs after a Natty, this is what the narrative is for the football program. I imagine the supporters of the school and program are beside themselves and in damage control mode. I don't think throwing out a Happy Holidays is going to cover it in Ann Arbor this year.

Saw the pic of her yep you are right. And young
She graduated Purdue in 2016, so she's around 32 years old. So it's not like he was diddling a student trainer. I can't believe the near doubling of salary of the coach's mistress didn't raise some flags though earlier...

I never care about his family or anyone else in these situations. Always wonder why others say ‘it makes them sad…’

Yep

Before she started working for the University of Michigan athletics division, Paige Shiver, the daughter of veteran Chicago Bears scout Jeff Shiver, was profiled by the Bears team because of an illness she was fighting.

The profile story in 2016 on the Chicago Bears website describes Shiver as “an active college student” at that time, who, before she was sick, “would go on 30-minute runs, take cycling classes and lift weights virtually every day without getting tired.” In 2015, while she was a junior at Purdue, she started to feel “exhausted” with pain “throughout her body.” During college, she had a marketing internship in Baton Rouge, LA, and “she knew something was wrong,” the Bears said.

Piecing together from Twitter that she got the abortion over a year ago and before she got the big salary raise

As I mentioned in an earlier post, my well-connected buddy said Moore also got a student pregnant (who was not this assistant), so this one was considerably younger. Legal, but younger.

Are you human?
I think we know that he is not. We have to take the bad with the bad with him.
He always rides the edge of getting blocked with me.

Must have been an old photo I saw. She looked about 20

This shouldn't be dumped upon his family, but Moore has proven himself to be a reprobate. I am not sad at all. Moore is just another f*cked up guy who managed to land in a position of power and misbehaved badly. Old as I am, I've seen this theme play out quite frequently. Sometimes it involves sex and sometimes it doesn't.

This has quickly turned into a dumpster fire for Michigan. Will be interesting to see how they handle the coaching search. While I imagine they would normally take some big swings at top tier candidates, I’m not sure they can afford a messy, drawn out process like Penn State had.

Is the AD safe? By many accounts, this was a known secret. The order of events yesterday creates a lot of questions, but specifically, was Moore fired in the midst of a domestic incident/mental health crisis or did those events occur because he was fired?

Michigan could choose to clean house here. They could clearly fire the AD for cause assuming he was aware of Moore's behavior long before yesterday.
