Replace Greg Harbaugh Jr. With?

You'd have to get the whole gameplan in a single seance. If you had to perform a seance between plays, I think you'd get a ton of delay-of-game penalties. Of course, if you did have a seance, you could probably get Burnsie in the conversation as well.
A seance with Burnsie sign me up.

Stop drinking. You work tomorrow.

We are going to fire the OC of a 4-2 big ten team with a freshman QB to hire the OC of a team that’s 2-3 in the mountain west 3-6 overall that lost 16-14 to central Michigan?
And that’s the FIRST name on the list?

I would be fine moving on from Harbaugh for the record. But you seriously want to bring on San Jose state OC as the first name?
San Jose scored 16 vs 3-6 Air Force yesterday and lost
yes, harbaugh is horrible. we suck because everyone knows including blind people what we are going to run. the offense is barely grade school quality. he sucks.

In a way, I met Jerry Burns. My daughters attended the International School of Minnesota which was located just south of Highway 62 and just east of the 494 ramps. I was in a hurry to pick them up one day and was tooling down 62 at a pretty good clip. The driver ahead of me was driving about 10 to 15 miles per hour below the speed limit and weaving a bit like he couldn't decide which lane he wanted to be in. I tried to get around him both on the left and right, but the guy would swerve back into the lane just in front of me so I'd have to brake, regroup, and try to go around him on the other side. Needless to say, I was bordering on minor road rage and riding my horn a bit. When I finally got past the guy I gave him a look. Sure enough, it was Jerry Burns shaking his fist at me and yelling what I am sure was a world class string of expletives.

It will be interesting to see if Fleck does make some changes on the offensive side of the ball. There comes a point where loyalty doesn't matter anymore.

That might be a win win. We might be able to get a WR coach who could coach separation and how to win contested passes.
I don't think there is such a thing as "coaching" separation or getting open.

You can work on mechanics of route running, like how to properly go into and come out of breaks. You can work on routes. You can work on selling fakes. All of that, I suppose.

But actually getting open is largely just pure athletic talent & ability, as opposed to that of the guy covering you.

You can do some scheme things to help receivers get open against man coverage. Techniques that verge on "picks," causing the covering DB to get caught up "in the wash." Got to deliver the ball quickly and hope for YAC. Also, apart from the issue of separation, you need a receivers who, when in a tight coverage, have a better than 50/50 chance of coming up with a contested ball. We've had those guys in the past ... some not even tall, like KJ Maye. But we don't seem to have any this year. Maybe the Gophs should let Drake throw more deep balls on contested routes. Might be caught, might draw a PI. Of course, our dismal running game makes it all the more hard to have an effective passing game. Go Gophers!

He already is co-Oc

I always find it wild that people hate the offe

Those are things you recruit not coach. I'm sure Simon coaches as mean of a route tree as anyone. He did a good job implementing KC game plan for the out back bowl, his fill ins at the Pinstripe and rate bowl, were 6-7 as the kids would say

Simon is co-OC and WR coach on a team with wide receivers that don’t get open and where everyone wants a new OC

So naturally Simon should be promoted 😂

If Harbaugh is alone like you said, Simon should be fired or demoted.
Exactly!

Chart says running backs are average not bad but they have nowhere to run
I would agree think running backs are about average. DT is not the same back he was a couple of years ago but slightly above average. OL is terrible no other way to say it. It is not the running backs fault. DT at 100% would not to be able to do much behind this line.

Yeah. LIke I said, It's a really telling chart.

Having watched the Oline this year, I believed them to be bad. Not, one of only four teams in the FBS to average less than 1 yards per carry before RB gets hit bad.

The other clearly illustrated thing in this, for a team that is built on pouring molasses over the field and attempting to limit the game to as few plays per half as possible, I have a question.

At what point, if this is your plan, can you start to question the coaching staff for this kind of result. In year nine? Question the building of the roster? Question the play calling? Question what our team identity is?

Asking for a friend.

Well I questioned it last year and continue to

And would be ok with an OC change
But I don’t want to hire from within if that’s going to happen

Better drive, need more than 3 though (harbaugh)
kept our defense off the field to rest, now they gotta step up, FKN TACKLE!!!!

The chart says our OL and/or our offensive scheme suck. Is our O scheme the most suitable for strengths if the guys we play? Zig we are wedded to a certain scheme, are we playing the best OL for that scheme? The imponderables.

i was at the jan 1 game in tampa. he called A plus game. you had NO IDEA what play was coming next. they guy nailed it. GIVE HIM A SHOT FLECK
Given how many times Fleck has had the opportunity to promote Matt Simon, yet hasn't, has led me to believe Matt Simon is refusing the job and doesn't want to be an OC.

I’ve thrown this name out several times and it’s widely ignored but…my buddy Dylan. He’s an elite Madden player, great clock management, from MN so will stay and is currently unemployed so would be cheap. Pay him $300k, invest the rest in the DC.

JUST AN IDEA!!
