Had a bad feeling about the game so did other things. Found out the awful truth when I came home. The stats said one carry for Taylor for one yard. Did he take a hard hit? Any info during or after the game? I am sure playing Michigan State would mean a lot to him

Didn’t look like he took a hard hit, played 3 plays and was done. I have a feeling the hamstring got tweaked this week in practice.

I heard it was the hammy again. Dude is good when healthy, but he’s damaged goods. Time to move on and see what else you have. A guy with some speed who could catch would be outstanding. Rumor has it the new 4 star in this recruiting cycle from Texas is that?

DT is a difference maker when on the field but he is also unreliable from a health standpoint and that sucks.

Tough call in terms of what to do with a guy like DT in this new paying players era. Healthy he is worth a lot but when resources are limited you can't afford to blow a ton on someone who isn't on the field.

He's had one big game out of 8. We can't afford to pay for that. Maybe Alabama can.

Problem is we've missed on all the other RBs or had early injuries. Would need freshman RB to be good to let him walk but certainly doesn't have the draft stock he had coming into season

He had around 175 rushing/receiving yards against Buffalo and his receiving against Purdue was one of the few things working against Purdue along with the Nebraska game. So he has been big in 3 games this year....but obviously 3 out of 8 games is not a good percentage at all.

Very frustrating situation. We need him but can't rely on him.

He can’t be trusted to stay healthy. What a drag.

Not that there was any doubt, but PJ confirmed it post-game, insomuch that he ever "confirms" anything having to do with injuries.

Darius Taylor had the first carry and then nothing after. Was that an injury or a game situation?

PJ Fleck: Yeah, the medical staff will take care of all that, and I'll do everything I can to update you as we go along.

I'm excited to see what Xavier Ford can do. He is only a true Freshman, but ran for nearly 3500 yards his senior year at his Louisiana high school and 8500 yards his entire high school career.

Honestly we'd probably be better served putting money towards the OL. We've had O-lines in the last 5 years where even the 5th and 6th string RB can run for 100. We need to get back to that level of OL play.

Upgraded O-line is a big reason Indiana has had the astounding turnaround.
They have one of the best in the country, after picking up transfers from Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Colorado, and Ohio St

Don’t know why we don’t play him.

Well said... this is the worst OL I can remember ever. We need changes in player and or coaching. I don't care who is running the ball behind this line they are going nowhere.

At this point, I think we should do what we had to do in 2021 after so many of our running backs were injured: pull the redshirts from the two freshman (Ford and Washington) who played yesterday and have a rotation of Ijeboi, Davis, Ford, and Washington. While I don't think any of these freshmen is like 2021's Bucky Irving, they look like they might be able to be modestly productive. Unfortunately, we don't have an offensive line like we had in 2021.
