And Arnolds Park, Iowa.....Being a Worthington, MN kid, I loved both Okaboji and Arnolds Park, Iowa.....Loved it as a kid, and loved it as a teen when I could drive there myself. Still a fun place to spend some time. Two very good Iowa State Parks are in that area too...plus great golf courses....It really is the only redeeming part of Iowa.

I think a Hawkeye would taste gamy like wild buzzard. But this is a positive thread, I guess it's how the Gophers smoke and prepare it. If any of you know how to prepare roadkill, then you know what I'm talking about. If the Hawks taste good, then this will be a positive thread!!! After the Nebraska game, don't use corn as a side dish!

Their state fair is above average but still very inferior to Minnesota's. Much like their flagship university.

It was nice making fun of that "proud of corn" CyHawk trophy Iowa-Iowa State until they got embarrassed and got rid of it.

That's all I got. Iowa is lame.

roadkill consumption is typically reserved for where/when it is most relevant: Wisconsin game week. I think all the roadkill expertise in the midwest is concentrated in Wisconsin. Ironic as this is the one subject where "expertise" and "Wisconsin" go together.
 

They have a lot of Casey's Gas Stations and they make a nice pizza.

Went to an Iowa game a few years ago with my dad. Driving home listening to the Iowa post game show I felt like it was the mid 80s and I was a kid riding with my dad again. Everything seemed 1980s... right down to the scenery of rural Iowa.

Iowa seems to recruit and sign area kids. I admire that. Also, they play a style of ball I like. I hope we beat them, but I do think they run a nice program.
 

Since I go east a lot, it is nice to look out the window, see Iowa and when that's done, I am half home
