This is ridiculously expensive. The bag of chips has 11 in them and 1/3 will be crumbled. That hotdog is like 3 bites and nasty.
It was a helluva lot less under Biden! This is ridiculously expensive. The bag of chips has 11 in them and 1/3 will be crumbled. That hotdog is like 3 bites and nasty.

Terrible. So dumb to try and gouge your customers when you are fighting to get fans into the arena. This is ridiculously expensive. The bag of chips has 11 in them and 1/3 will be crumbled. That hotdog is like 3 bites and nasty.
do NOT tip on anything at the Barn. The money goes to Aramark anyways, and why would I tip someone for handing me and opening a $16 can of mildly cold Deschutes?I agree. Over the past few years it has become ridiculous. I think a Coors light is $12…oh and don’t forget to “tip” the volunteers who are raising money for something… that you have no idea what it is.
Isn't the price at the "Bank" for this a bit over $20?This is ridiculously expensive. The bag of chips has 11 in them and 1/3 will be crumbled. That hotdog is like 3 bites and nasty.
FIFYIsn't the price at the "The Brickhouse" for this a bit over $20?
Wiener tariffs! It was a helluva lot less under Biden!
Do you have any evidence that this is true?do NOT tip on anything at the Barn. The money goes to Aramark anyways, and why would I tip someone for handing me and opening a $16 can of mildly cold Deschutes?
Not sure of Zeppelins comment but tipping when no service has been provided or tipping when you are uncertain where it is going does not seem right.Do you have any evidence that this is true?
Maybe consider not buying a $16 beer if you cannot afford to leave a gratuity. Or at least keep your cheap habits to yourself.
You would be tipping them for the service they provided; just like in any other service industry.
Haha this cannot be a serious post.Do you have any evidence that this is true?

Correct. I always leave a fresh tenner on the hotel room table upon departureTips are for service, higher amounts for exceptional service, are for being waited on, not standing in line and taking your money. Tip at a hotel room if the room is clean and well kept. Not just for sleeping there.
You’re a Good man.Correct. I always leave a fresh tenner on the hotel room table upon departure
It’s not.Haha this cannot be a serious post.
Nobody is against tipping. The point of this thread is that the U is gouging ridiculously for the food being served. $16 for a basic hot dog and a medium pop is insulting. At our ECHL home games our youth hockey parents work the registers, fill the popcorn boxes, roll the hot dogs, serve the beer, clean up afterwards. The only thing we don’t do is cook, liability issue. We get a set fee plus all the tips. My wife and I have paid all our ice bills this year by doing this. Don’t poopoo those people til you walk in their shoes, we work hard for that money. We get there early and clean up afterwards. We get to wear our team gear so everyone knows where the tips go. We also make it a point to tell them where the tips are going. We run our asses off before the game and at every intermission. In our case those tips are well earned.

This.Sorry, but I am not tipping even for charity when I myself grabbed the beer out of the cooler, no matter what the price.
The service was provided by me.
When I go to the ice cream booth, I will give them the puppy dog eyes and ask for a heaping mountain of ice cream, and they will almost always give me a heaping mountain so big that my seat mates' eyes pop out of their heads. That's worth a dollar tip.do NOT tip on anything at the Barn. The money goes to Aramark anyways, and why would I tip someone for handing me and opening a $16 can of mildly cold Deschutes?
Can’t you just ask???Do you have any evidence that this is true?

back to the original post though... HFS this is crazy. The cheapest plainest chips possible too!! Maybe, what, $1.25 in total cost for the meal? This is ridiculously expensive. The bag of chips has 11 in them and 1/3 will be crumbled. That hotdog is like 3 bites and nasty.
Don't pay those trash prices. The Drew's popcorn at Mariucci is about the only decent thing left over there.
Why Minnesota arenas/stadiums don't have warm flavored nuts like I've seen in the Dakotas is beyond me.
