Concessions at the Barn are whack

This is ridiculously expensive. The bag of chips has 11 in them and 1/3 will be crumbled. That hotdog is like 3 bites and nasty.

I agree. Over the past few years it has become ridiculous. I think a Coors light is $12…oh and don’t forget to “tip” the volunteers who are raising money for something… that you have no idea what it is.

Prices last weekend at TCF ... sorry Huntington ... were absurd. Glad I drank and ate before the game. (Though who am I kidding, I bought beer at the stadium)

do NOT tip on anything at the Barn. The money goes to Aramark anyways, and why would I tip someone for handing me and opening a $16 can of mildly cold Deschutes?

What about the Chick-Fil-A stand. Is that there this year again and what are their prices? Thanks

Do you have any evidence that this is true?

Maybe consider not buying a $16 beer if you cannot afford to leave a gratuity. Or at least keep your cheap habits to yourself.

You would be tipping them for the service they provided; just like in any other service industry.

Not sure of Zeppelins comment but tipping when no service has been provided or tipping when you are uncertain where it is going does not seem right.

Haha this cannot be a serious post.

Tips are for service, higher amounts for exceptional service, are for being waited on, not standing in line and taking your money. Tip at a hotel room if the room is clean and well kept. Not just for sleeping there.

Correct. I always leave a fresh tenner on the hotel room table upon departure

At our ECHL home games our youth hockey parents work the registers, fill the popcorn boxes, roll the hot dogs, serve the beer, clean up afterwards. The only thing we don’t do is cook, liability issue. We get a set fee plus all the tips. My wife and I have paid all our ice bills this year by doing this. Don’t poopoo those people til you walk in their shoes, we work hard for that money. We get there early and clean up afterwards. We get to wear our team gear so everyone knows where the tips go. We also make it a point to tell them where the tips are going. We run our asses off before the game and at every intermission. In our case those tips are well earned.
