Week 1 Other Games Thread

think Texas fans will have enough self realization that perhaps they should've been more grateful for Ewers?

Two quarterbacks making their first college start. One picked to be the eighteenth best quarterback in the big ten and one picked to win the Heisman. Which one would you take? You gotta like Drake's performance a little better.
lol I love Drake, but there’s a biiiig difference between Buffalo’s defense and Texas’ and OSU’s.

Arch Manning not looking like much of a passer in this game.

i'm real curious as to if voters will actually punish Texas for how mediocre they looked, or if they'll just swap their places and let Texas skate by for multiple weeks

If I'm not mistaken, Texas has declined to kick at least 2 field goals. If they kick them, it's still a 1 score game. Field goals aren't the enemy.

think all of Texas is vastly overrated this year. OSU D is good though
It helps when the play caller for Texas has no imagination or sense of situation. End zone fade with 4th and short? Idiotic.

livingstone with a hell of a job to make that play

edit: if they overturn this, that's just silly

I don't think that was a touchdown. Needed other hand to secure the ball after it hit the ground.

kind of want TX to score and go for two and fail just to see Sark's ego once again get in his way

Rankings drive ratings. Would seem like little incentive to tell the truth

Arch showed a couple good flashes but didn't really look the part of a predicted Heisman winner. I get this is really his first year, but after seeing what Jameis Winston, Trevor Lawrence and Johnny Manziel did in their initial seasons, I feel it's not as much of a stretch for freshman to show up big.

With that said, season is still long and i figure Manning will look better in other games. Also, it might just be that Ohio State's defense is that good. Additionally, I agree with TNGophfan on getting some more points on the board via field goals.

Manning started at least 1 game last year, and I think it was 2

Ohio State's defense IS really good. But Manning made a bunch of bad passes and was pretty damn inaccurate for a guy that was considered to be the Heisman favorite.
