Week 1 Other Games Thread

My question has probably been hashed and rehashed many times: But why don't teams do the halfback leap over the goaline when it's only inches to score? Back in the day, it was a standard play at the goal line. Has it been outlawed (too dangerous)? Is the tush push a better option? Someone please help me understand why you never see halfbacks leaping over the line (and goal line) for touchdowns anymore.

they showed Nebraska try when OSU stuff them. Yes they do it intermittently. imo the tush push at the college level is nowhere near as well executed. i mean hell, outside of philly, it's not all that much better even at the NFL level. i don't understand teams who don't run under center/power pro I coming under center for it like they do.

i want to try to be into this game, but my god its been boring. and i would gladly take our QB over either of these 2 guys from what i've seen so far

if this is truly #1 and #3, i feel a lot better about the gophers this year :)

We might have a better quarterback than either of these teams.

That said.....these are two of the elite defenses in the nation.

think your point 1 is the part that may matter the most

great attempt at the pick by OSU but that should get overturned

Two quarterbacks making their first college start. One picked to be the eighteenth best quarterback in the big ten and one picked to win the Heisman. Which one would you take? You gotta like Drake's performance a little better. Preseason polls what a joke.

Northwestern stinks. Purdue may not be the worst team in the league after all.

Also....Tennessee is looking awfully good.
Incredible NIL resources will do that, I guess.

I remember not that long ago when Tennessee was solidly the Nebraska of the SEC.
