This is college football HOF. What he did as a pro doesn't matter. He was as good a college center as you'll find. That's all that matters. Bet there are many college lineman in college football HOF that are not household names.

Was a great college center. Well deserved IMO. Could be wrong but might be the most honored player in the last 30-40 years.
 


Eslinger is one of the most decorated centers in college football history. One of the greatest gophers in the modern era.

Started every game in his career. Was first team all big ten three out of his four years, which is insane. Unanimous all American.

Well deserved.

So was Tim Tebow. Mitch Leidner, Adam Weber would have been successful there. Wow what an odd statement. Most people are system guys.

Every Badger qb, rb in 90s, 00’s except Russel Wilson and maybe Melvin Gordon.
Did Andy Katzenmoyer play in the pros?

His comment on Eslinger was idiotic but are you suggesting Mitch Leidner would have had similar success to Tim Tebow in Florida’s system?

Eslinger was critical to the success of the Gophers running game while he was here.

We saw some very, very, very...did I say very?...good run games during that period.

If only David Gibbs had stayed and built a defense to go with it. Sigh.
